President Donald Trump told a crowd of supporters at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kansas, a suburb of Wichita, that he loves Kansas — but after watching a live stream of his speech, I simply don’t believe him.

The Trump Parade is coming to Kansas. Will the President touch on issues that are affecting Kansans most or will he brag about all of the great things in is doing for Americans? If I was a betting man, I'd wager on the latter.

There are some real challenges facing Kansas families. Whether President Trump chooses to acknowledge them on Monday or simply deliver another round of political pageantry will tell voters everything they need to know about this administration.

Let’s call Monday’s rally in Wichita what it is: a rescue mission.
President Donald Trump is rolling into Kansas to prop up U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall, whose reelection fight is one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country.

If you ask me, what Kansas City police are doing to Michael Wheeler is borderline absurd by locking up a local icon for trivial matters. That heavy-handed approach to non-violent offenders like Wheeler must stop.

One aspect of the situation that bothered me — and should upset anyone with a vested interest in law and order — is the lack of accountability for Raytown Mayor Mike McDonough’s illegal maneuver to oust Ward 3 Alderwoman Latrice Thomas.

Moments before Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Lewie fatally shot Saveion McConnell, Odessa Police Officer Nathan Holmberg set the stage for what would come next: a total disregard for an unarmed Black teenager’s humanity.

Failure to adhere to law and process undermines MO voters' trust in state govt.
No amount of social media posturing by Missouri Republicans can disguise the reality that true election integrity starts with following the law, not crying foul when the nation’s highest court calls your bluff.

Former Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is returning to the Show-Me State after about a year as co-deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Welcome home, Mr. Bailey. We hardly missed you.

Shortly after Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Jalilah Otto found Kansas City Police Officer Chris Showalter guilty of misdemeanor fourth-degree assault, Showalter’s victim was asked if Showalter should be a police officer.
"No," he said.

No shade to Eli. He is a great writer. But let's keep in mind AD Brewer wouldn't allow a Black player from Iowa State named Jack Trice to play on that field. While I remain a Tiger fan, let's not forget that part of history... btw, ISU named its football stadium after Jack Trice. – at Independence, MO

“There is one fact which must be realized above all others, and that is that a stadium is a thing which will stand for a century.”

And let's be clear - It is the position of Toriano Porter that it should be lawful to withhold or otherwise discriminate with regards to employment on the basis of skin color. Goodness. Is that the position of the KC Star?
By its own admission, MSHSAA discovered more than 20 years ago that its board was populated by white men.
Before the new policy, with the exception of one individual, the board had never had a minority or female board member initially join through the standard at-large process.

Correct. He was ineligible to apply for the seat because of the color of his skin. Not because of merit or the content of his character.
Now say that again. Loud. For everyone to hear.
This post is either a meaningless FYI, or you feel that a person should be denied a board seat or employment based on skin color. Which is it?
MSHSAA's 10-person board of directors is currently made up of 6 white men, 3 white women and 1 Black man. The subject of this lawsuit is a white male turned down for an at-large seat he wasn't eligible to apply for but could apply for an in-district seat.

Today the Eastern District Court of Missouri rejected MSHSAA’s motion to dismiss our lawsuit holding them accountable for race- and sex-based discrimination.
Our claims will proceed, and we are grateful @AAGDhillon can continue representing Americans in this fight for equal treatment under the law.

On Wednesday, I attended the trial of Kansas City Police Officer Chris Showalter, who is accused of assault for driving his knee into the neck of a handcuffed man. Below is a link to five things that stood out from witness testimony.
