Let’s bring back Logic to the classrooms!
🧠 Logic. Critical Thinking. Truth.
Yesterday’s Fire of Liberty Show with @TinaDescovich reminded us why these belong back in every classroom.

Joining @glennbeck at 11:30 today to talk about the @Moms4Liberty launch of M4L AWARE! Listen to learn how we are forcing school districts to be transparent across the country! It's a new day in public education in America.

Convincing schools to become cost-free sales support staff to behavioral health clinics, marching little revenue units into therapy rooms. New batch every year!
Pharmaceutic companies can only wish it were that easy. 💰
I wish people understood that mental health on-site in schools is not the answer. But it’s ‘free’ to schools because they will charge your insurance directly. 🤦♀️ This is for elementary school children at the moment.

Especially for elementary age kids, the last thing we should be doing is adding space between necessary parental involvement and kids’ healthcare decisions. When schools offer these services, it makes it easy for parents to take themselves (or be inadvertently taken) out of the process.

And hey, at least they are supporting Iowa teachers.
Replying to @tpatrick0888 @NunnForCongress
I’m donating $100 to Iowa teacher’s today in your honor. And another $100 to DEI initiatives in Iowa schools. Not because I want to, but just because you suck so fucking hard at life. Pray on that all you want, but the answer is in the mirror. Deport yourself.
RT @shelFlockhart: What a fun evening! Thank you Simon Conway!

The more I see what’s happening in schools, the more I think HOMESCHOOLING is the future.
Kids don’t need 7 hours at a desk, endless homework, and permission to use the bathroom.
They need curiosity, movement, real-world skills, and time with family.
Homeschooling is starting to look less “alternative” and more like the obvious choice.

If a school can’t teach kids to read, then we really ought not make attendance there mandatory.

Hey guys... did you know that on K-12 standardized tests, there's something called the "Honesty Gap"?
So even if a state did go hard like meanies like Zillennial and I recommend, fixing the gap might not really be fixing the gap because SO MANY OF THE STATES ARE FUTZING WITH PROFICIENCY RATES TO MAKE THEIR SCHOOLS LOOK BETTER.

Coming up on 25 years in education and still unable to understand why so many people think making a teacher’s job difficult, unsatisfying, and frustrating equals “empowering” them.

I need to say something that I wish more MD's said.
Cold and flu season is NOT actually "a season".
It's Halloween candy followed by Thanksgiving pie, followed by Christmas cookies, followed by New Year's drinks, followed by Valentine's Day chocolate.
Four straight months of sugar, processed foods, stress, and disrupted sleep.
And then we act surprised when everyone gets sick.

When a kid types a question and instantly gets an answer, something is lost: the wondering, the frustration, the searching that’s part of getting educated. I talked AI and kids with Kelly Sadler on the Washington Times’ Politically Unstable.

Parents protest the cost of day care.
Government says: “We’ll pay!”
But government money comes with government rules. Those rules make day care WORSE.
“Those rules... don't end up helping kids as much as raising costs," says @carrielukas of @IWF.
The “Nanny” State: Government Regulations Jack Up the Price of Daycare
Day care costs are rising, and government promises they’ll fix it! But when government “fixes" something, that means more rules. The leads to fewer day care centers and higher prices.

Schools can’t cure addiction, end mental illness, fix broken homes, or eliminate poverty. Those things are outside of what schools are equipped or capable of doing.
They can, and should teach and enforce consistent discipline, adopt clear, cohesive curriculum, and use evidence-informed instructional practices to provide students with the knowledge, virtues, and skills that will help them make healthy, wise, and responsible decisions later in life.
Schools can’t solve all of society’s problems, but they can give students a fighting chance at avoiding or overcoming them.

If your child is having surgery this flu season, ask one question before they go under:
"Will any vaccine be given while my child is asleep?"
Some hospitals do this. An AAP News report described 18,000+ children vaccinated under sedation or anesthesia at one children's hospital.
Whatever you decide about the flu shot, decide it awake, informed, and asked, not by a checkbox.

Rep. @NunnForCongress speaks out about Sarah Trone Garriott’s attacks on @shelFlockhart:
“Shellie, like a lot of Americans, struggled with alcohol nearly a decade ago and by the grace of God she’s been sober ever since that…it’s sad to see my opponent in this race, @SarahforIowa, attacking not me, but a mom who battled addiction, found the lord, and turned her life around…”
