Sci-Hub was conceived as a communist project, btw. Elbakyan started it to allow those who were unable to get past academic paywalls to access scientific papers. The website even used to display the hammer and sickle. If you’re interested, you can also have a look at the lecture++
🥳🎂 She was born on November 6, 1988. In 2016, Nature magazine named her one of the ten most influential people in science. #scihub 🗝

Brazilian President Lula: Which country has the conditions and the capacity to do what we are doing? China doesn't count, because China is much bigger than we are. China doesn't have opposition newspapers, it doesn't have opposition trade unions, it doesn't have opposition political parties. It's different. It's not the same assessment. We have to compare ourselves with our equals.

Nobody: Lula:
🚨🚨 EMOCIONANTE 🚨🚨 Lula reagiu. Aos vídeos de idosos. Votando nele. 🥹 O presidente se emocionou. E o povo também. Enquanto isso, aqui no Brasil as trends mostram o impacto. #LiveDoExercitoExplode no topo. #19hsTemLiveDaVitoria no assunto. #AoVivoComLulaEJanones19hs no radar. Paraguai e Santiago Peña no feed. #NunesPerseguidor no scroll. Votei 13 e Guido Mantega no meio. A pauta não para. O povo brasileiro se emociona junto. E não esquece. #LulaMaiorDoMundo #ExercitoDoLula #BetsNuncaMais #ComLulaNaoTemBets Em Defesa Da Democracia teapaw.org/ptbrasil/status/211848…

For those abroad who might be interested, the police officer responsible for handling and safeguarding Lula during his 580-day illegal imprisonment, has had his own personal diary published in a book - describing the prison life of the president, and their personal conversations.

Lula broke economic and diplomatic relations with Israel. Your turn, if you'd please.
In a way this is true: the democrats will do just like Lula did, which is to say that they will make symbolic statements against Israel while taking no concrete actions to constrain it

The crowd at the Mexico GP in the Formula 1 race was chanting "Ole, ole ole ola, Lula, Lula" Lula was not present at the race in Mexico. The spirit of the working class across the world is reaching a level we've not seen before. This is a turning point of history.

Please help me! To all left-wing artists around the world, and to everyone on the left worldwide: I need your help! This Saturday, October 31, we are organizing a large-scale anti-racist street demonstration at the Southeast Exit of Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, Japan. I want to display your anti-racist and anti-fascist artwork on the streets of Tokyo! Japan is now dangerously moving back toward the kind of fascist state it was before World War II. The situation is extremely alarming. I am a Japanese left-wing artist, and every single day, I take to the streets to fight racism and fascism through art and public expression. I believe one of the biggest reasons fascism is gaining ground in Japan is that this country remains deeply isolated, both physically and in terms of information. Japan needs to hear voices from outside. Japan needs to see artistic expressions from around the world. Japan must be seen and judged for what it really is, through the eyes of people beyond its borders. That is why I want to bring your artwork into the streets of Japan! Feel free to criticize, ridicule, or absolutely tear apart Japanese racism and the Japanese far-right internet trolls known as netouyo. I have only one condition: Please do not use atomic bombs as a joke or a way to mock Japan in your artwork. Apart from that, I welcome virtually any kind of artwork, and I want to display as many submissions as possible on the streets! Please use these hashtags: #NETOUYOAHO #NETOUYOART For those unfamiliar with the term, netouyo refers to Japanese far-right internet trolls, a particularly nasty breed of online reactionaries. Let's take on the racism. Artists of the world, let your voices be heard in Tokyo! Solidarity across borders! #NETOUYOAHO #NETOUYOART

It's crazy that some of you are ruled by p*dophiles who bomb children for pleasure. My president is a crybaby who is choking up and bawling from seeing old and disabled people giving it their all and cross all obstacles to exercise their power to vote for a better world.

"I guarantee you, we're gonna change the way this country is governed." Envisioned by Marx, Lula has launched "Participative Brazil", a DIGITAL VOTING PLATFORM. In early stages, it allows citizens to engage w FEDERAL decision-making. "Democracy is human existence." K.M.
Lula campaigned on a "Virtual Revolution" and "democratic reforms" to expand the role of the people on the government and its decision making. "It is a question of the extension and greatest possible universalisation of voting, of active as well as passive suffrage" - Marx

Because even the American working class benefits from imperialist policies while the Brazilian working class doesn't and each votes more in line with their interests on average to a large enough degree that candidates like Lula are viable in a nation like Brazil but not in The US
How come third world Brazil get's to have a progressive president for 8 years while we are stuck with a good for nothing rotten fascist.

"If Lula can do it, so can we" Unitedstatesians used to laugh at me (and at Brazil) whenever I'd point this out. High on their own feeling of superiority Many of you here on twitter did too. And here I am, witnessing the left-wing across the entire planet repeat these words.
