Just a reminder that a bunch of shameless people spent the entire summer running a smear campaign to paint this guy as a bad person. Never forget.

Being eliminated by Simeone in two cups last season is SIGNIFICANT. The real narrative around Barcelona is how we shrink when a real opponent shows up, WE DO. Let's not act like Real were serious in the last 2 seasons as well. Demanding more is not a bad thing.
The funniest thing about the narrative that Flick always gets outcoached by a "real" coach is how inconsistent these people are with it. If we had beaten Madrid, Mourinho would suddenly be a washed manager who isn't good anymore. Just like Xabi Alonso was a tactical mastermind when he beat Flick in La Liga last season, but a failure when Flick beat him. Simeone isn't a good coach when Flick dominates him in the league or knocks him out of the Copa in 24/25, but suddenly becomes a "real coach" when he eliminates us from the UCL, despite two red cards and our players missing a ridiculous number of big chances. The same goes for Ancelotti, a five-time UCL winner, and Kompany in 24/25. Apparently, neither of them was a "real coach" either. The pattern is always the same: when Flick beats a big-name manager, they discredit the opponent. When that manager beats Flick, suddenly he's a tactical genius who exposed him. It's not a consistent argument about tactics. It's just a narrative they change depending on the result.

All respect to flick but he hasn't adapted to shit in 3 years and we get dogged in big european nights easily. It's time to move on from him as soon as possible ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป He has shown this team can compete, but we need a better coach.
Flicks Offside trap kryptonite, outside of that thereโ€™s few other things teams consistently do vs his teams

I have to wonder, did he just take the Master League hidden inside the game to make these or did he make them himself?

One of the best things Flick brought to Barรงa was getting rid of the possession obsession that made our football painfully slow and predictable. We still play possession football, but under Flick, possession finally feels like a means to an end rather than an end in itself. We're more vertical, aggressive and willing to play forward quickly, and I don't want us to lose that. Lately, though, I've felt Flick is shifting back towards slower football and prioritising control. I'm not sure how much influence Rodri has on that, but Flick is ultimately the one responsible for how we play so i can never blame Rodri for this. Flick needs to not let Rodri's Pep-influenced mentality affect his decisions too much. Against Madrid, we sacrificed our attacking threat by playing slower without actually fixing our defensive problems. Slower football doesn't automatically mean more defensive security. This is why I want Flick to stick to his aggressive, vertical approach and stop listening to anyone pushing him away from it whether it's the media or the fans or the players.
