I find it amusing how prescient the SCP Foundation fictional world is at describing care needed around exposure to SCP, if one imagines AI output as an SCP. I hope "LLM Cognitohazard WARNING" becomes a thing 😄.

New ways of working - rejected work - very hard to sell POV that way of working depends on business decisions more than on HR.

As @mapkeep is shutting down, here are my maps that I can make public: Social capital (about 80%), could be much better.

yes, and the Thousand brains Theory seems to back this up: the neocortex is optimized for sensorimotor world-modeling, and cortical columns may use grid-cell-like codes (reference frames) originally tuned for physical space. So at least some thought could be like navigation through a space-like internal model

I hate LLMs so much...

Stage 2 of #enshittification is well in progress. The surplus is being shifted away from consumers. chatgpt is already not working on mobile web. Stage 3, that comes after, will take surplus away from the content producers. They'll have to pay for content (not ads) to be shown
We are starting to test ads in ChatGPT free and Go (new $8/month option) tiers. Here are our principles. Most importantly, we will not accept money to influence the answer ChatGPT gives you, and we keep your conversations private from advertisers. It is clear to us that a lot of people want to use a lot of AI and don't want to pay, so we are are hopeful a business model like this can work. (An example of ads I like are on Instagram, where I've found stuff I like that I otherwise never would have. We will try to make ads ever more useful to users.)

In case you're wondering what Stage 1 was (allocate the surplus to consumers)

I'm looking for Mac-only IT support company for SMB. Anyone have good experiences?

I find it wild how AI is this unstoppable force and also we have to change every API and data format to markdown.

This holiday season I managed not to buy any new domain names 🙌

So... what happens when LLMs are trained on LLM generated code?
