Lost a few before this one. Finally got the win.
Congratulations to @dreyethh @Code3ks and other winners
The results of the Fiber Network Infrastructure Hackathon are now in!
It was a hotly contested event with many strong entries from around 100 developers across wallet and payments UX, node/routing/diagnostics, and merchant/LSP tooling.
The overall winner: 🥇 Clasp by @dreyethh
Other category winners:
🥇Fiber-forge by @truthixifi
🥇FiberNuts by @Code3ks

Nice to see more Fiber projects moving from prototypes to public testing!
@ebubedev opened Twine's P2P trading app for testnet testing, @Code3ks opened the FiberNuts Community Market (and already shipped fixes based on feedback), and @truthixifi turned hackathon feedback into Fiber Forge v0.4.0, with new SDK, CI, and CCH testing tools.
Meanwhile, @Dean8IX shared new recovery evidence for FNN Safeguard, and @LusoCryptoLabs opened the Cellula Wallet testnet beta.
If you're trying out any of these projects, let the builders know what works or breaks, and what you'd like to see next!⚡

I’m waiting for AK to rewrite Zig in Rust
We’re rewriting the Angular compiler in Rust 🦀 (partially)!
Meet ngp (Angular Preprocessor): a hybrid compiler decoupling our transforms from TypeScript using Oxc, readying Angular for TypeScript 7 & native tooling.

Introducing Fiber Forge.
It started with one question: why should testing on Fiber require rebuilding an entire local network by hand?
So I made the command I wanted to use:
npx @truthixify/fiber-forge up trio
A minute later: three funded nodes, open channels, and a live interface for making payments, checking balances, and following logs. No afternoon spent wiring a devnet together before the real work can begin.
What began as a developer convenience went on to win 1st place in Node, Routing & Diagnostics at the Gone in 60ms hackathon.
Big thanks to @NervosNation for organizing the hackathon and giving builders a reason to push Fiber infrastructure forward.
Fiber Forge is open source, and this is only the beginning. Read more and try it here: talk.nervos.org/t/fiber-forg…

Based on the Metaforo tally at close, the outcome is PASSED. Approval is 64.37% with total voting weight 242,742,014 CKB.
Post-close verification has been completed using CKB DAO Watchdog, together with a manual sanity check. The verification cross-checks Metaforo-recorded voting weights against on-chain Nervos DAO deposit weights. In this run, all entries match.
The Vellum V2 proposal is confirmed as PASSED.

📃 Vellum V2
💰 Budget: $7,000 USD (settled in CKB equivalent at time of issuance)
⏰ Voting closes: ~2days
📊 Quorum: 242,616,555/20,651,607

🤝 Community Discussion & Perspectives:
- Proposer's Clarifications: In response to the previous vote outcome, the proposer clarified that Vellum operates with a roadmap independent of upstream dependencies, restructured the grant into a 4-stage disbursement plan (25% each), and emphasized that all core deliverables are scoped to Testnet.
- Opposition Stance: The primary opposing address (~35.65% of current votes) noted that their underlying rationale remains unchanged from the previous round, but has not published specific counter-arguments or required amendments on metaforo.

One of the more encouraging things this year is that CKB’s builder ecosystem kept expanding while much of the industry was doing the opposite.
Teams were shrinking, budgets were being cut, and a lot of speculative activity disappeared.
Meanwhile, more developers kept showing up to experiment on CKB.
Today, over 100 are working on or exploring the network:
- 70 formal CKBuilders working through a structured program
- ~40 more coming in through Build on CKB, an open group for developers curious about the chain
- 45 projects now listed on the CKBuilder tracker, with 23 added in a single quarter and 15 submitted for technical review by core CKB developers
Claw & Order, a two-week AI Agent hackathon, closed with 22 open-source submissions; 16 came from CKBuilders, including the top two prize winners
- The work spans a surprisingly wide range: ZK key recovery for AI agents, a Groth16 zkSNARK verifier, a Fiber desktop client, an ML-DSA post-quantum implementation, a DID reference dashboard, lending primitives, prediction pools, and more
Some of these builders are now graduating from experimentation into independent projects.
But the more important signal is that all of this happened during one of the bleakest periods for the industry.
If this is what the builder pipeline looks like when capital and attention are scarce…what happens when they aren’t? 👀

A career guide for people, period.
Great read, and no reason these lessons aren’t insightful to people younger or older than their early 20s.
Learning about language models.
Thanks to @tejuafonja & @AISaturdayLagos for this class
Thanks, but I’ll wait for the @GoogleDeepMind offer
