This is hilarious 😂, but it’s pretty much calling out a major hurdles facing the future of flying cars. The biggest hurdles to flying cars won’t be the technology itself (it’s possible), but rather the policies, regulations, and infrastructure needed to support them. I have thought about this a bit. I believe we would need designated takeoff and landing zones, new safety laws, air traffic system and potential major infrastructure changes to our roads and cities. We have lanes, traffic lights, signage and clearly defined driving rules which has stood the test of time. The skies have aviation regulations but not for millions of everyday commuters. Building a flying car is one thing. Building an ecosystem where millions can safely use them is another and this is where policy becomes critical, but as we all know, policy will likely struggle to keep pace with innovation. It’s always lagging.
