SORCERY IS REAL. WE CAN WRITE THE MOST COMPLEX SPELLS, AND COMPUTERS AND MACHINES WILL EXECUTE THEM. THE WISE ANCIENT CRAFTSMEN OF THESE SILICON WANDS DESERVE GREATER WIZARDS. STUDY THIS ART OF SPELLMAKING.

Jai is the new programming language used for the development of Order of the Sinking Star. Not too long after the game releases, focus will switch to the compiler, working first toward a binary release, then, eventually a source release. 🧑‍💻 📝 Wishlist Order of the Sinking Star on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/4…

While I can agree with Zuckerberg's vision for AI (meta.com/thefutureisforevery…), I find it problematic when he says "I think it is important to protect the principle that you can learn from anything you can observe". “Observe” feels harmless and innocuous, almost passive. In reality, AI labs actively bypass all safety measures in order to extract all data they can at any cost, obviously ignoring crawler directives, but also impersonating users, engaging in deceptive behavior, and proactively implementing workarounds to any new protection measure you set to try to keep the boat afloat and safeguard your users. At that point, you can no longer in good faith call that “observing”; it’s straight “sacking“ and “pillaging“. For your next essay, @finkd, please double click on that framing around "anything you can observe" and expand into a couple paragraphs on how you are thinking about this important issue.

This should be the minimum expected performance for any software nowadays, considering computers capabilities. Why isn't all software like this? 🤔

This is what I think GitHub needs: A "respect" system. PRs are rated "good" or "bad" by repository owners which affects the respect rating of the contributor. Then, project owners can set a threshold so that users with too low of a respect rating are banned from submitting a PR.

I wondered what the dirac belt trick would look like with domain repetition.
Strange Universe. Math, Physics, Reality. "6 belts are anchored on the outside to a fixed frame, and on the inside to a spinning cube. Although the cube spins continuously in one direction the belts never become tangled. The belts return to their original configuration when the cube has rotated 720 degrees." - Jason Hise, tinyurl.com/df5kmcmy

Important! The global Internet is dying. Today I want to talk a bit about largely internationally unrecognized phenomenon called «whitelists» and what the international community needs to prepare for in the future, since the precedent has been set by 🇨🇳China and 🇷🇺Russia.
