Sears ran a single-issue campaign with $10 million in venomous anti-trans ads (a 41% issue in the state). She ran nothing on the economy, jobs, taxes, schools, health, or roads/highways. The result is a statewide bloodbath all the way down ballot. Perhaps there's a lesson here.

Wow, with >95% of votes counted in Spotsylvania County, VA, Spanberger is up 2 pts and seems poised to carry it. I looked at every statewide race (federal and non federal) going back over 10 years and couldn't find a Dem who carried the county in any election.

According to this @washingtonpost analysis, no more than 57% of tickets were sold or given away as "comps" for the typical Kennedy Center production so far this fall, compared with with 93% in fall 2024 and 80% in fall 2023. Tens of thousands of seats have been left empty.
