Eric Morris after beating Colorado 57-24:
"They needed to be challenged after halftime. Thought we were sloppy in a lot of areas. ... Like, just think about how close we are to being so much even better right now."
FINAL
Oklahoma State's familiar problems cropped up again and the Cowboys still blew out Colorado 57-24 and won on a day when almost every other Big 12 contender suffered a huge let down.
OSU has such a high ceiling.
OSU's second string offense (first-string OL) just averaged 7.3 yards per play on that TD drive to put Cowboys up 57-24 with 1:18 to play.
OSU leads Colorado 37-24 with 8:48 left in third.
Like we all expected, RB William Mason punches it in from 3 yards out on his first carry of the night. He's seen a huge uptick in playing time tonight (very low bar).
Is he the solution to the red zone issues?
Colorado leads OSU 24-23.
For the most part, the Cowboys look like who they've been although the running game looks a little bit better.
Caleb Hawkins is averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
Eric Morris on the radio as he walked off the field:
“Not very good in the secondary. … We kicked three fields goals already. Offense is in rhythm, but we can’t score.”
Great placement from Drew there, if he misses the safety could have picked that one.
Instead, its a 14-yard pass to Justin Bowick who now has three catches for 72 yards and a TD and it looks like he's only getting started.
OSU back on top 17-14.
Sam Keltner is 14-14 on Field goals this season after booting a 47-yarder through which matches his season-high.
His career-long is 51 yards
OSU trails Colorado 14-10 with 11:48 left in first half.
Colorado went 2-3 on third down and 1-1 on fourth down to set up that 4-yard TD pass to tie the game halfway through the 1st quarter.
At least two Cowboys were wide open there for the TD.
Oklahoma State avoids the red zone entirely with a 47-yard pass to Miles Coleman.
Start fast (offense) ✅
TBD
Start fast (defense)
Score TDs in red zone
Don't be terrible defending the pass
Everyone wants to see Drew sling it.
NFL teams here to check out Oklahoma State-Colorado (days after coach Eric Morris makes a point to mention how many NFL teams are reaching out to watch Qab Drew Mestemaker):
- Arizona Cardinals (2x)
- Baltimore Ravens
- Philadelphia Eagles
'I think him and Patrick (Mahomes), their recall is phenomenal and their spatial awareness, and so I think those are two of the smartest quarterbacks that I’ve ever been with.'

Kansas and Cincy trying to pull the Big 12 back into the depths one week after the conference planted its flag with BYU's win over Notre Dame is classic Big 12.
This conference is incapable of a boring title race.
FINAL: Oklahoma State Cowboys 93, Tulsa 85.
Kashie Natt finished with a 26-point, 12-rebound double-double to go with nine assists and five steals and somehow none of those numbers totally capture his impact today.
My main first half thought is Kashie Natt (team-high 13 points) is insane for that.
OSU fans will love watching him hustle this season.
HALF | #OKState 45, Tulsa 40
Natt leads the way with 13 points, six boards and four assists. Shortly before halftime he almost swiped an inbound pass he had no business getting to, Superman diving across the floor to get his mitts on a lazy pass.
Oklahoma State leads Tulsa 24-21 with 11:32 left in first half of exhibition.
Kashie Natt leads Cowboys with 8 points.
