Today, we're introducing @lato_ai, backed by @ycombinator. We are changing how investments are made. Our first focus is commercial due diligence (CDD): currently private equity spends on a McKinsey report ~$500k which takes weeks. To give you the scale: 36k CDDs were done in 2025, which is c.$18bn spent a year. Based on 200+ experts calls and multiple studies over last 4 weeks our agents did, we know that: 1) Voice agents do better expert calls than people 2) Research agents find more relevant information and synthesise it systematically With our approach we do research on any company or market in days at a fraction of the cost. We already work with leading funds that push the frontier. Learn more at latolabs.io or email [email protected] to get in touch.

Hard to believe this is real, insane. Guess it makes sense - trickle down effect from rockets

We are now at the frontier - our voice agent had a 2h expert call with a senior executive at @Walgreens today. We use @ElevenLabs for voice agents, and 2h is their technological limit. @mati, @dabkowski_piotr and Eleven team - would be great if you could extend it please :)

Two fantastic people @vivianmshen and @paulg having a fantastic conversation - what more can you ask for!
.@paulg came to the 47th (!) @ycombinator batch talk a few weeks ago, where we talked about the Turing Test, ambitious startup ideas, and formidable founders. It was also a reminder of the incredible YC community, where founders literally help each other treat their cancer. What a special time and place to work on startups.

For context: this was a random Friday afternoon during a coffee run. I'm new to SF, so it's surprising to see this. I don't build robots, I'm building research and simulations for investors with @lato_ai

Airlines digitized the information. The work behind every flight is still manual. I’m building @skymerse to change that - one AI system automating commercial flight operations from schedule to landing. This is very special moment for me. Thank you @ycombinator.

Excited for what my brother is building - easier & better commercial due diligence! And very happy that ElevenLabs is part of the tech stack :).

On August 12th, @heartaerospace flew the world's largest battery-electric aircraft ever flown. 💙 The 27-minute flight cost only $5 in electricity. Heart Aerospace YC (@ycombinator W19) has shown the world that regional electric aviation is the future. Their planes are beating current planes on economics, which is the only metric that really matters for airlines. We saw this with EVs; we're seeing this with electric trucks and machines, and we'll soon see it with electric planes Unbelievable team effort by  @AndersForslund1, Benjamin Stabler, Brittany Churchill, Cole Randle, Klara Forslund, Niki de Leon, Alec de Zegher, Tyler Jacobs, and the entire Heart team. 🩵

New record: 1h39min This is how long a senior executive at Carlsberg had a conversation with our voice agent about UV disinfection of water. AI interviewers are the frontier.

We complete our studies faster than the customer legal team responds to our emails. If we waited for them to respond we would do our studies in weeks, which is counter to our value prop.

Good thing is that people that receive those studies want them, so they push internally to get it done

I was at @paulg house yesterday and forgot to take a picture with him as the only thing in my mind was his input for @latolabs_io. Not sure how to remember next time.

an IOI 2x gold medalist, a Navy explosive ordnance officer, and a 17 y/o intern at Coinbase walked into Chase Center last weekend... ...and I interviewed all of them. I found 12 of the most ambitious builders and founders at YC Startup School, out of over 6,000 people. from all over the world, all with the same energy: earnest, creative, resourceful - including one who built a rocket out of salad bowls. PS: you can still apply late to YC F26. 00:00 — Intro 00:28 — Meet the founders and builders 02:01 — What they’re building 09:17 — Should you go to college? 10:46 — Why they started 11:58 — Advice and what’s next
