Most of my orders right now are Christmas-themed, and honestly, they really lift my spirits. Somehow, they make my heart feel a little warmer because I keep thinking that Christmas is just around the corner. Christmas has always been such a warm and special holiday for me. Even though weβre being warned that this winter will be very difficult, and weβre already experiencing frequent power outages, thinking about Christmas somehow makes things feel a little easier. Don't be a "Pad Slapper".
The most common cause of brake noise, pedal pulsation and poor braking performance occurs when a mechanic or car owner does a βpad slap,β which means that they just replace the brake pads without spending the additional time and money to reΒplace the shims and disc brake rotors (needed most times today) and lubing the slide pins.
Use quality parts and be sure to use the special "brake lube" on the slide pins, never used petroleum based lube as that will ruin the brake seals and rubber components.
And if the vehicle has more than 100,000 miles, brake calipers need to be closely inspected and may need replaced (highly recommended).
Maximum braking performance could mean the difference between a quick proper stop or an accident.
Not worth perhaps saving a little time and or money by not performing the compete job.
