REDDY IS BACK TOO I AM SO HAPPY THAT BIDWELL AND REDDY ARE ALIVE AND THRIVING (Good way to write in that this is how the whole Mann Co. + RED and BLU narrative that the game uses ends up continuing as well)
SAXTON HALE: Goodbye, Reddy. MR. REDDY: Goodbye, sir. SAXTON HALE: Goodbye, Bidwell. MR. BIDWELL: Um...maybe we could both co-own...? SAXTON HALE: You two work out the details. That little girl was right. I need some new trophies. And I know just the gal to help me get 'em.

This + one of the KR mafia members being named "Kenzi" (Kenji if it's JP, Kenzi if it's short for Mackenzie) is CRAZY (I know Medic & Pyro got like no lines at all and it was more focused on the NPCs' stories more than the mercs but even Search for Sandvich gave Demo more lines)
DEMOMAN: We goin' in?

Like her bangs have been swept back again, it's clean and pristine, even her eyes have been lost in that anime-ass reflection It's just a throwback to the same shy but calculating woman we saw not hesitate to tear apart a friendship with bribery and lies, it's THAT Miss Pauling
MISS PAULING: Oh, and Mister DeGroot? Your FRIEND'S employers made HIM the same offer. MISS PAULING: He said YES, Mister DeGroot. Enjoy your morning off.

It's right before she opens this door she hesitates; she still opens it because she's already committed her life to being Helen's Miss Pauling. Flo had to see with her own eyes what it'd mean to stay as Miss Pauling for the Administrator vs. free Helen and herself from it all.
MISS PAULING: Yeah, just...after all this. MISS PAULING: Maybe Engie's right. Maybe I DON'T want to see this. MISS PAULING: No. Let's find out once and for all what's back here.

TF2 ISSUE 7 SPOILERS: Reaching maybe but the reflection Flo sees in the Australium is SUCH a throwback to her 1st character design: simple but cold assistant who would do whatever her boss Helen asked. What Flo sees and wanted to be was the Miss Pauling we first met her as.
MISS PAULING: Soldier, where did you get this? SOLDIER: In my cave! There's tons of it! The raccoons won't touch the stuff. MISS PAULING: You guys: we did it. Not the way we planned, but we did it. Soldier's cave has enough Australium for centuries! SPY: We could sell it and— MISS PAULING: Exactly. We could bring it back to the ADMINISTRATOR! I'll get a PROMOTION! I could be her SECOND IN COMMAND!

teamfortress.com/comics.php I'd say go backwards in Update comics "The Insult That Made a "Jarate Master" Out of Sniper" stop at "A Fate Worse Than Chess" Then start reading the TF Comics from "Catch-Up Comic" until "The Days Have Worn Away", then read the rest of the Update comics

While there's valid arguments to potentially reducing Helen's character I think the tragedy is well-written PARALLEL to Flo's character. Her realizing "this isn't what I want" and letting go of Helen is basically a 2023-24 breaking generational trauma movie. And I'm HERE for it.
MISS PAULING (O.S.): Engie. MISS PAULING: You know any deep trenches? ENGINEER: I might know a few.

It's SO devasting for Flo to realize the person she was willing to lay her life down for wasn't the person she thought she was. If she wasn't careful that's the person she could become too. She had to let go of that person not just for herself, but for that person to let go too.
