I wrote on Substack about America’s Semiquincentennial on the anniversary of President Lincoln's Morrill Act. Few institutions have done more to give millions of Americans a fair chance in life than our public universities. There is no better way to honor our inheritance at 250 than by recommitting ourselves to delivering on the promise of a truly American institution.
