BREAKING:
BBC has developed a secret emergency broadcasting plan to keep the UK informed if a major blackout or cyberattack shuts down electricity, internet and communication networks.
Around 100 BBC staff will operate a special emergency radio studio with independent power, food, water and fuel supplies to keep broadcasts running for at least three days.
The plan relies on FM radio, which can continue operating even when internet and mobile networks go down.
The UK is also preparing for a potential nationwide crisis, with officials urging the country to be ready to withstand a major disruption for at least 72 hours.

‼️ BREAKING: OpenSSH has rushed out a fix for a critical flaw that lets attackers log into some Linux servers without the right password.
The team learned of the bug a day earlier. OpenSSH's Damien Miller says long embargoes now mostly help attackers, because AI agents rediscover bugs, sometimes within hours.
It hits Linux systems on the musl C library with PAM off, such as Alpine Linux. Miller told admins to disable password logins or SSH itself "IMMEDIATELY".
Version 10.6p2 works around it. Systems on glibc or PAM are not affected, and Miller says the root cause sits outside OpenSSH.

My 70-year-old father lost Rs. 4.6 million yesterday in a phone scam.
Someone called claiming to be handling a “tax calculation” (using the HNB name) and asked for his banking details and OTPs. He gave them, not realising what was happening.
Please share this so others don’t lose their savings:
• Banks, the Inland Revenue Department, or any government office will never ask for your OTPs, PINs, passwords, or full account/card details over the phone.
• If someone calls asking for these, hang up immediately.
• Call the official bank number printed on your card or listed on the bank’s website yourself to verify.
• Talk to your parents, grandparents, and elderly relatives about this. These scams specifically target older people. And its currently happening as we speak, HNB office bearer casually told me this was the 3rd one for this week. 😣
This can happen to anyone. Stay alert.
