As I reflect on which engineers I’ve worked with that I hold in highest esteem, I’m struck by the fact that raw coding ability isn’t a factor at all in what makes them good. For some of the ones I respect the most, I don’t think I’ve even seen any of the code they’ve written.

I'm German. If you wanted to hate a country for what it's done, it's mine. Yet I'm welcome everywhere. Esp. in Poland. I have many friends from there, in fact one of my very closest friends lives in Warsaw. Please don't confuse Russia & Putin with the Russian people

In video meetings it's a hassle to unmute just to say one word especially if someone else is speaking. I created a video lens that uses hand gestures to show comic-book style messages instead. So far it's been pretty fun!
