We are pleased to announce our research "MAX-EVAL-11: A Comprehensive Benchmark for Evaluating Large Language Models on Full-Spectrum ICD-11 Medical Coding."

We built the first comprehensive benchmark spanning the complete ICD-11 spectrum and tested state-of-the-art language models against real-world medical coding scenarios. The results expose both the promise and the limitations of current AI systems.
Healthcare systems worldwide are racing to deploy AI for medical coding. Yet until now, there's been no rigorous way to evaluate whether these systems can handle the complexity of ICD-11, the global standard for medical classification.
