Early this year, I visited Ingram, a TX town of ~1,900, to check out a tip.
The area was starting to recover from its worst flood in a century.
But as Latino workers drove to jobsites to help rebuild, the tipster said, a cop in a black Dodge Charger kept stopping them ... 🧵

New this week: FEMA has denied a request for federal aid to individuals needing help after the July 2026 floods in Texas.

Don’t throw away your “I voted” sticker. Give it to someone who can’t vote. Your immigrant parents. Your immigrant neighbor. Let them know that they are not alone and that we will keep fighting for them ❤️.

Something I find really interesting in the Big Bend wall injunction case –– the gov't has quietly shifted from insisting that the Big Bend is "an area of high illegal entry" urgently in need of wall to a long-term view, where no wall means it's vulnerable to future border crime

When Mississippi went to SCOTUS to overturn Roe, AG Lynn Fitch represented the state invoking her "pro-life" values. She is embraced as a "pro-life" hero and is now justifying the murder of a 1-year-old Black infant named Kohen Wiley:
