as someone originally from luzon who moved to cebu knowing little to no bisaya, my experience has been that many cebuanos and bisaya speakers are willing to meet you halfway. mag-aadjustan naman talaga kayo sa isa’t isa, normal yun, natural na reaksyon yon. ang hirap kasi kapag ginagawa nating batayan ang karanasan o opinyon ng iisang tao para bumuo ng konklusyon tungkol sa isang buong grupo. let’s use a little critical thinking and recognize that one person’s experience should never be enough to discredit or misrepresent an entire community
