We congratulate @KarlDeisseroth on the 2026 Nobel Prize for discoveries that made optogenetics possible. The Perl-UNC Neuroscience Prize recognized that contribution in 2011.

The Neuroscience Center was honored to host Dr. Botond Roska who accepted the 24th Perl-UNC Neuroscience Prize on Thursday, March 5. Our neuroscience community was enthralled by Dr. Roska's work on developing approaches to decode retinal circuitry and restore vision.
