Let me explain: East Asian nations (Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and later China) all went through a phase of rapid GDP growth combined with the need to conserve foreign exchange. Here is why that happens.
1. Our economy is growing at a good rate but we still have an import dependence, in both energy and in technology. In fact, the faster the economy grows, the greater the need for both energy and technology inputs.
2. To balance that import dependence, we have to export more and our exports are surging. However, even our exports need advanced technological inputs (precision machines, materials, CPUs, GPUs, advanced software etc) that we need to import today.
3. Catching up in all of these areas takes time, often measured in decades. We have made a good start but we need time.
Look at how long it took East Asia to catch up with the West. Their economies were growing rapidly even as they worked hard to conserve foreign exchange.
That is exactly what our government is trying to do.
Once we gain competence in all the advanced technlogies, and achieve energy independence through renewable energy that we develop the technology for, we would no longer need to conserve foreign exchange.
The situation is similar to a fast growing company that needs capital to grow. So it has to conserve capital to invest in growth. Our nation needs to conserve foreign exchange likewise.

3. But Predators who follow Jinnah:
a. It is prohibited for predator to consider anyone equivalent to sister or mother or daughter, unless same mother has fed them.

Vote for the central government in Bengal & Assam elections. Have said central government & not BJP here so that you understand why.
Opposition targeted the courts first, then Election Commission, central security forces, investigation agencies, even media. In short, no institute will be spared. That shows desperation on part of one side & the commitment to go for the kill by the central government.
From changing high ranking officials in administration, focus will only keep going to the bottom till police inspectors & SHOs. Now no arrangement can be perfect, opposition will always find ways to do notoriety.
But as much as this is a do or die for the central government, it is for the voters there yearning for change.
A government in Bengal is a prerequisite to resolve East. Voters of Bengal have a chance to not just better their governance but to resolve India's long standing legacy geographical issues in East, problems minorities are facing in the useless neighbour, illegal immigration influx, border control.
To deal with the useless neighbour in West & PoK -
Regions like Gujarat & Rajasthan already have governments aligned with the central government. So the challenges here will be different.
With PoK will come their population. Opposition will spread narrative & it will be amplified by the mindless ultra right-wing chaps that they want land without its people. It doesn't work like that. Deradicalization efforts are being done at governmental/diplomatic levels, but the common man cannot wash away their duty here.
Just like Israel is facing difficulties in Iran leading to supply shortages, we too will face supply chain strain. That's why asked initially you want a permanent solution to the never ending problems of terrorism permanently or not as that will require sacrifices.
Either don't expect peace & ask for action after every terror attack or be willing to face consequences.
PM Modi is repeatedly asking to be prepared like we were during COVID, keep calm, remain united. He said it in parliament, on inauguration of Jewar airport & also in Mann ki Baat program. At least 3 times in last 3-4 days. Hope you understand why this constant reiteration.
Movements & statements of Army Chief & Raksha Mantri have clearly hinted even timelines. So don't create panic when we go for action.
No rushing to petrol pumps, creating long lines thinking you are doing something smart. Don't hoard food items. Don't panic buy as it will create shortages even if there is none. Don't fall for rumours/propaganda & act, without verifying from official/government sources & press releases.
Despite saying this, people will still behave like animals & show no unity, calmness. But hopefully unlike past instances, hope they will act sensibly in a war like situation at least.

Race has been written into law, land ownership, voting rights, citizenship, policing, and power. Abrahamic religion, christian supremacy and conversion played a key role. These are facts. We cannot build a just future by denying the past.

As expected opposition parties have once again decided to not stand with India at the time of war & when India clearly has taken a side - Israel.
Why India chose to take a side instead of remaining neutral has been explained in previous posts, you can read them to understand the tectonic shifts happening in the new global world order.
Also it was expected our opposition parties will target supply of crude, oil prices & other such narratives to create division within the country like they always do at times of such calamities.
First sinking of the Iranian ship in the Indian Ocean, creating fear mongering that shutting down of Strait of Hormuz will impact our oil prices to spreading misinformation about total crude reserves. Everytime there is critical event or a war/conflict, the same set of people appear each time & spread such propaganda which not only impacts India internationally but also creates fissures internally.
Much of the time, energy & resources get wasted battling the propaganda instead of focussing on the problem, which clearly is a pattern.
The oil reserves are a combination of Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) + crude inventory + finished products (petrol/diesel) availability in the supply chain. Each is available for roughly around 25 days, totalling to 70-75 days of supplies.
On the Strait of Hormuz too you will see tensions easing off especially for Eastern countries. Iran is a member of BRICS+ & cannot go against the R-I-C trio & at the same time take on the West. Instead of creating a narrative that India should take sides with Iran, the narrative should have been Iran should make a choice to choose between East & West. That would have brought so much clarity to the entire discussion.
Important therefore for people to understand dedollarization, multipolar world order. Unless they do, opposition forces will keep them confused.

During this current conflict you saw Iran successfully able to penetrate not just Israel with its weapons but also all of West Asian countries. All housing top security US bases, best security apparatus, yet they were unable to protect their countries.
Compare this with Operation Sindoor - not a single missile could land in India, not a single city could be touched. This is so unprecedented that we lose its importance in all the mindless reactions & mocking. No other country in the world is capable to strike a nuclear capable country in the world & yet successfully pin them down. Stop mocking your capabilities at the time of war, don't amplify opponent's warfare propaganda, & take pride in yourself & your leadership going forward.
Don't want to sound partisan but cannot be dishonest if not told, that in next 5 years the entire global order is going to change. You have to keep this current leadership elected from municipality to Parliament levels in every election.
You have a very important Operation Sindoor 2.0 happening in this year itself. Mark these words.
You gave an important job to be done in the Eastern border this year itself.
So if you get this leadership in power, all your legacy pain points will be treated permanently. Goof up, & you will end up passing on these legacy issues to the next generation.

yes, no wifi at an AI event.
yes, cash-only at a digital india venue.
yes, the PM's visit cleared the hall for 2 hours.
all embarrassing. all deserved the roasting.
but zoom out.
5 years ago, india wasn't even in the AI conversation.
the world's AI map had three pins: US, china, maybe UK.
india was filed under "cheap IT outsourcing."
now?
openai, google deepmind, meta, nvidia — all showed up. in delhi.
not to sell us products. to partner.
india told openai "your models will follow our rules on our soil."
the US hasn't even done that yet.
see, india doesn't enter races polished.
we enter messy, loud, and late — then quietly become the standard everyone else adopts.
UPI started as a joke. now brazil, singapore, and france are copying it.
ISRO was mocked. now NASA is partnering with them.
indian IT was "just outsourcing." now every fortune 500 CTO is indian.
the AI summit wasn't a failure of ambition.
it was the first draft.
and if you've been paying attention to how india operates —
the first draft is always chaos.
the final product is always "how did they do that?"

this is what happens when optics matter more than execution.
when innovation becomes photo-op
the sad part is india has insane talent.
founders building world class products.
engineers and researchers doing real work.
leave India for a sec, im at network school and the youngest crowd is all Indians.
but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with performative nonsense.
the west isn’t winning because they’re smarter.
they’re winning because they care about details.
because they respect builders.
because their tech summits actually work.

and when he said it’s hard for india to build foundational models, we took it on our ego.
rn, every founder who attended left embarrassed.
imagine international delegate left with stories about our “infrastructure.”
many friends and young builder lost a little more faith.

we can do better.
