To address this, the Cabinet has approved a scheme to change this.

The exact kind of quote that will be denied when the usage actually comes. This concept of analysing long term investment returns by some really short term usage metric is the "sansani khes" disease of journalism.
But it's also why we didn't invest in AI a decade back.
To suggest that a country should build expensive infrastructure without forward planning or usage modelling is the mirror image of say Lalu saying in the 90s that we should not build infrastructure at all.
Please only build if you can reliably model that usage will come. Public monies is not an unlimited asset. It should be deployed in the most efficient manner possible.
The other day, 1 of my team members was talking about visiting Darjeeling and seeing Kanchunjunga. And I mentioned how it used to be visible from the place where I spent some part of my childhood. And now my TL is full of posts from GenZs discovering Kanchunjunga. Ears everywhere
