The Internet Archive is such an important resource for preserving Black music and cultural history. Being able to revisit old issues of VIBE, EBONY, JET, and other Black publications is priceless. The interviews, photography, advertisements, fashion, and cultural commentary tell us so much about the eras they documented. These magazines weren’t just covering Black culture. They were documenting history as it happened, and that history deserves to be preserved and accessible to future generations.
