@uppc_uganda, through the Public & Corporate Affairs Department, joined public relations practitioners and other stakeholders in Jinja City for the @PRAU_Uganda Golden Jubilee Conference, held from 20–23 October 2026 under the theme “Celebrating 50 Years of Professional Excellence: Shaping the Future of Public Relations.”
The conference explored the evolving role of PR in institutional leadership, reputation management, crisis communication, digital transformation and stakeholder engagement. Sessions on AI in communication, ethical practice, sustainability and integrated marketing communications highlighted emerging approaches to building public trust and delivering measurable organisational value.
The insights provided an opportunity for UPPC to learn how to continually refine its communication approaches, deepen stakeholder relationships and leverage digital platforms to reach wider audiences. As the Corporation advances its transformation agenda, strategic communication remains central to demonstrating its value, building confidence in its services and reinforcing its contribution to national development.
Congratulations, @PRAU_Uganda, on 50 years of professional excellence and advancing the public relations profession in Uganda.

Today, @uppc_uganda partnered with the Youth Go-Green Initiative and other partners at the 3rd CEO’s Breakfast Meeting and High-Level Dialogue on Green Economy, Sustainability and the SDGs, held at @UNICEF Headquarters under the theme “Accelerating Uganda’s Green Economy Transition through Digital Transformation.”
Representing UPPC, the Director Business Development @NyakairuR highlighted the Corporation’s progress towards digitising 80% of its products and services by 2028, having achieved 60% so far.
Through platforms such as the E-@UgandaGazette, UPPC Service Portal and digital publishing initiatives, the Corporation is expanding access to official government information while supporting more efficient, less paper-dependent service delivery.
The engagement provided a platform for @uppc_uganda to showcase its digital transformation journey, strengthen partnerships and explore opportunities to promote responsible and sustainable production, resource efficiency and environmental conservation within the printing and publishing industry.

APPRECIATION
Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC)
NIRA appreciates @uppc_uganda for its participation and support during the #MyIdentityExpoAndSymposium26.
As Uganda’s government printing and publishing institution, UPPC plays an important role in supporting Government’s communication and documentation needs through the production and publication of official government materials and documents.
Its participation at the Expo provided an opportunity to highlight the important role of trusted government documentation in public administration and service delivery.
We value UPPC’s partnership and contribution to the broader conversation on building reliable systems for identification, documentation and access to government services.
