Before the fight, the 20-year-old Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) had predicted that he would finish his opponent in the 4th round. Proving right in his prediction, Muhammad Ali knocked down Archie Moore three times in that very round and subsequently won by technical knockou! | Nov 1962 🥊🌟

On February 6, 1967, before the fight, the entire world witnessed a legendary debate in the ABC studios 🥊🎞️ Muhammad Ali: "Why you gotta be the one of all people who's colour to keep saying Cassius Clay." Ernie Terrell: "Howard Cosell is not the one that's gonna fight you? I am." Muhammad Ali: "You've made it really hard on yourself now. Why won't you call me my name man?" Ernie Terrell: "Well what's your name? You told me your name was Cassius Clay a few years ago." Muhammad Ali: "I never told you my name was Cassius Clay. My name is Muhammad Ali and you will announce it right there in the centre of that ring after the fight. If you don't do it now!"

Happy birthday, The Easton Assassin 🥊🎉🌟 Having defeated prominent names such as Muhammad Ali, Earnie Shavers, Ray Mercer, and Ken Norton, Larry Holmes secured 69 victories in his 75 professional career matches, 44 of them by knockout. He suffered defeats against Michael Spinks in 1985–1986, Mike Tyson in 1988, and Evander Holyfield in 1992. Standing out for possessing one of the best left jabs in heavyweight boxing history, Larry Holmes also made history as the first boxer to defeat Muhammad Ali by technical knockout.
