#USF defensive coordinator Josh Aldridge said the Bulls secondary "tackled poorly," against UTSA in the second half of the loss.

Aldridge said there were opportunities for #USF to win on defense against UTSA but ultimately the team needs to be better in tackling, "We've got to make the plays when they come to us too."

Halfway through the season, Aldridge said he thinks the defense is "good at making negative plays."

#USF offensive coordinator Tim Beck said he liked the team's "aggressiveness and approach," heading into the game against UTSA.

Beck spoke about the scoring drives the Bulls had against UTSA and the offensive lull in the middle of the game, “It’s kind of been our story right now. I think when we get some positive momentum plays, you know, a big key for us is get the first 1st down.”

Beck on having a few fast offensive starts, like against Army, and having a good game-plan, “I would say that can be a part of it... but at the end of the day, we still have to do a good job doing our job, making routine plays routine.”

“You spend time working on those things and, to try to get those things right. So, and they, when they hit, they're big.” Beck mentioned the 42-yard touchdown pass from Michael Van Buren to Bryson Rodgers as one of those plays that clicked.

“It's all new to our guys,” Beck continued. “And so offense always takes a little bit longer.”
