Celebrating the 25th anniversary of #BatmanBeyond winning the #EmmyAward for Music under the leadership of our dear mentor #ShirleyWalker. Also in the picture with his 1st Emmy is producer+long time friend Bob Goodman, frequent collaborator on many great projects. May 12, 2001 – at Culver City, CA
Today is the 25th anniv. of Amélie—my all-time favorite film. 🎬✨ To celebrate, I recorded a piano cover of Yann Tiersen's breathtaking "Comptine d'un autre été—L'après-midi" ("Nursery Rhyme of Another Summer—The Afternoon").🎹 🧵1/4 – at Culver City, CA
Yann Tiersen's score is inseparable from the magic of that film. "Comptine d'un autre été" in particular has this rare quality—it sounds like a memory you've never had but somehow miss deeply. It's one of the great pieces of film music, full stop. 3/4 – at Culver City, CA
25 years later, Amélie inspires me as much as ever. Happy anniversary to a film that changed how I see the world. 🥂 #Amélie #YannTiersen #FilmMusic #PianoCover 4/4 – at Culver City, CA
Filming a piano cover of someone’s beautiful melody for a special anniversary date this Saturday… any guesses what it’s going to be???
88th day of the year, 88 keys on the piano—today is #PianoDay 2026! To celebrate, here is an excerpt from #JoeHisaishi ‘s beautiful score to #SpiritedAway “One Summer’s Day” – at Culver City, CA
