Curious tension around ai disclosure is that there is nothing wrong with ai use, so it's not a problem to disclose it. Meanwhile, a lot of people haven't caught up to the world of possibilities ai unlocks for professionals, so they still think ai == slop.

Meanwhile, ai use is no longer a sign of a lack of effort. So people wanting ai disclosure for a sign of human effort are not going to get a signal they are hoping for. In a year or so, people will stop caring about it. Ai disclosure will help with that.

Excerpt from "Designing Games". There is now a way to do this rich interaction, can we expect games that leverage it?

I recently announced .cmd, a cross-platform task runner and dependency downloader designed to be checked into repo. Now I use it in GhosttyFX, a JavaFX terminal view using Ghostty lib. Before .cmd, it's build config was 1000 LoC of Java that required local JDK and mvn.

Now, it's 200 LoC of Lua with no extra dependencies. It can now build everything locally, which simplified both CI and local workflows. It's all coming together... Check them out: github.com/vlaaad/ghosttyfx github.com/dotcmdhq/dotcmd

I'm relieved to announce .cmd — a cross-platform task runner that you check in to your repo. With .cmd, there is a single cli entry point with no prerequisites at all to build and run your cross-platform projects. Check it out: github.com/dotcmdhq/dotcmd

Relieved? Yes, haha. In the agentic era, it's such a mess to setup build configurations for every new project. I want to have a simple setup for any project that should not ask to install a bunch of tools. Now, a single checked-in script file is enough for any OS.

6 Sol, like 6 Astra, is a worse value proposition than 5.6 Sol. The former is lazier; the latter is too expensive for what it offers.

Commencing repost chain reaction...
The theme of the Defold Game Jam 2026 is: CHAIN REACTION ⛓️💥 Interpret it as broadly as you like. It could mean, e.g.: * dominos, explosions, cascading destruction * combos where one action triggers another * spreading fire, electricity, infection, growth or magic, skills * production chains and interconnected systems * characters, events or stories influencing each other * unexpected or expected consequences of choices * something built around cause -> effect -> another effect * and anything else that you can interpret as chain reactions  The theme is there to inspire you, not restrict you - surprise us with your interpretation! You have 2 weeks. Good luck, have fun, and make something amazing with Defold! 🧡💙 Find the banners for Defold Game Jam, when you'll be posting and sharing stuff on social media and blogs (use hashtags #DefoldGameJam and/or #MadeWithDefold)

I made a new version of cljfx/plorer — an automation tool for interacting with JavaFX applications in the Clojure REPL. New version includes improved UX and functionality for dispatching input, including shorthands for clicks, key taps, and key chords.
