He makes it look effortless, but that level of clarity and artistry only comes from years of disciplined practice. Truly impressive musicianship.

Saturday night tune…This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of us by Sparks. A 1974 TOTP appearance guaranteed to get the nation’s dads shouting WTF is this!? at the telly. Russell Mael’s a cross between Jim Morrison and Mercury, and Ron looks like he’s about to invade Poland! 😀👏🏻

I got a piece of mail last month that didn't belong to me. It had my address, but the name was "Sarah Jenkins." It looked official, so I didn't throw it away. I asked the landlord, and he sighed. "Sarah was the tenant before you. Single mom. She got laid off and evicted. Left no forwarding address." I looked down at the letter. The envelope was slightly torn, and I could see the words: Final Notice - Storage Unit Auction. All her worldly possessions, her kids' baby photos, her memories, were going to be auctioned off on Friday for a $300 unpaid bill. It was Wednesday. I don't know why, but I couldn't let it go. I posted on our neighborhood Facebook group, asking if anyone knew her. Within an hour, someone messaged me. They had seen her working the drive-thru at a fast-food place a few towns over. I drove there. I ordered a coffee, pulled up to the window, and there she was. She looked exhausted. "Sarah?" I asked. She looked startled. "Yes?" I handed her the letter. She looked at it, and the color completely drained from her face. She covered her mouth to stifle a sob. "I get paid next week," she whispered. "It's too late. It's everything we own." "No, it's not," I said. I handed her a second envelope. After I found out where she worked, I updated the neighborhood group. Forty-two neighbors—people who had only ever waved at her in passing—Venmo'd me money. Inside the envelope was $800 in cash. "Pay the unit," I told her, my own eyes watering. "Buy some groceries. Your old neighbors miss you." She gripped my hand through the drive-thru window and wept. Sometimes people don't fall through the cracks because they are lazy. They fall because nobody is holding the net. Be the net. Anonymous

I was in the grocery store today and the man in front of me… his card kept declining. He had two kids with him and they were slowly putting their items back one by one. He kept whispering, “Daddy’s trying. I’m sorry.” Then the lady behind me tapped him and said, “Put everything back in the cart. All of it. Kids shouldn’t feel their parent’s stress.” She paid the whole bill and walked off like it was nothing—no bragging, no camera, no attention. Just pure humanity. People like that still exist and they deserve every blessing coming their way.

Manchester City FC DOESN’T hold the following records: - they do not have the highest historical transfer expenditure in the World, Europe, England, or in Manchester. - they do not hold any current transfer records in the World, Europe or England. - they do not have the highest wage bill in the World, Europe, England, or Manchester. - they haven’t topped the net expenditures in well over 5 years ( roughly 10 transfer windows ) Yet the attitude of some over City’s current market behaviour can only be described as hysterical, dumbfounded, hateful and self righteous. It stink of fear and jealousy. The arrival of Semenyo completes City’s first stage of the rebuild. ( Where many said, it would require roughly 2 years to reconstruct a new PL dominant team ). Arguably he should have arrived in the summer. More movement will naturally happen as older players will leave. ( Bernardo/Ake being the perfect examples ) To the ones crying, keep doing so, we’ll keep chugging along, building for the future.

''Tom tells a story about this duet. When they finished it the first time, Stevie didn’t feel like had gotten it and asked to do it again. The director said, “no that was fine, we got what we needed.” And Tom said, “Excuse me. If Stevie wants to do it again, we’re gonna do it again!” Tom Jones & Stevie Wonder performing a medley of their hit singles 'Place In The Sun', 'Uptight', 'Nothing's Too Good For My Baby' & 'It's Not Unusual' on 'This Is Tom Jones' hit TV show in 1969.

Simplicity is his genius. Everything he does adds to the value of the team. To think this is him unfit, half injured, with a long way to go. 🤯
