Mani Ratnam garu wanted to cast #Chiranjeevi garu in multiple roles in #Dalapathi, but things didn't work out!
Chiranjeevi garu was the first choice for Mammootty garu's role, but he politely declined the offer.
Later, Mani Ratnam garu approached him again for Arvind Swamy's role, which Chiru also turned down.
Mani Ratnam then approached Nagarjuna garu for the same role, but he too rejected it.
Finally, Arvind Swamy bagged the role and delivered an excellent performance despite his limited screen time!

A big-star hero’s filmmakers wanted to cast a veteran senior actor, who considers himself a legend, as the villain in their film.
The makers were shocked to learn that he demanded a title card on par with the hero’s. He didn’t want his character to be overshadowed by the lead actor in any way, nor did he want to be manhandled on screen.
Later, they learned that another big film had to undergo script-level changes because of his conditions, ultimately resulting in a disastrous second half.
The makers are now looking for alternative choices.
