Excited to have partnered with @verasight_data on this poll. Getting a demographically representative sample is incredibly difficult, but this is a good one. The design effect is very small, and the sample closely matches the electorate across the demographics we weighted on!

.@VoteHub partnered with Verasight to poll Ohio's midterm contests. Among likely voters, including those leaning toward a candidate, Amy Acton received 46% support to Vivek Ramaswamy’s 45% in the governor’s race. In the Senate race, Sherrod Brown led Jon Husted 47% to 44%. On the generic ballot, Republicans led Democrats 47% to 45%. All three of these leads are within the survey’s margin of error. From VoteHub’s article: “VoteHub chose to work with Verasight because of its approach to recruiting respondents, its voter-file validation capabilities and its record of election research. Verasight builds its panel through address-based sampling, SMS recruitment and online targeting. Using several recruitment approaches helps reach people who may respond differently to different forms of outreach.” Read about the poll results and methods: votehub.com/2026/10/22/voteh…

Verasight CEO and co-founder Ben Leff was quoted in a new story from @thehill by @Jared_Gans: "Fake polls fooled the political world. Now the midterms face a trust crisis." The story covers Wedgewood Polls' admission that it falsified data in a series of polls released over the past year. Ben commented on how media organizations should vet pollsters: "You wouldn’t go to a doctor who wasn’t licensed or a lawyer who didn’t pass the bar, and media organizations should hold pollsters to the same standard." He also noted where the public should be careful: "Where the public is going to have to be really careful is on social media and online, because news networks are only a small portion of what people consume..."
