I use AI everyday. It is my most used tool. At least 4-6 hours a day. It is the most useful tool in existence today. It has allowed to automate or streamline things into minutes that used to take me hours or weren’t even possible at all. I have a dozen skills that help with with things from IT troubleshooting to automated budget categorizing.
I have also spent at least 100 hours trying to build a skill to have it help me write good essays. it is over 100 pages long, including a 40,000 word/90 page corpus of summaries of my existing work AND why they matter, as well as 5000 words across 10 individual pages of instructions that cover writing style, reasoning methods, editorial rules, writing process, audience characteristics, and rhetorical style, with updates being made every day.
And yet the skill is basically useless to th the point that I can tell you with basically 100% certainty that AGI or frankly original thinking of any kind will NEVER come from next token prediction LLMs. The issue is the way they “think” at a fundamental level.
Again, they are extremely useful and will displace or augment the economic value of the vast majority of people. But at the end of the day they will remain NPCs due to their fundamental nature and AGI/ASI will require a totally novel architecture.

old news but here’s my take:
he looks bigger and more masculine/dominant in the first picture. in the second he just looks smaller and lower T, his hairline / head shape somehow looks worse, and he looks shorter.
women are attracted to strong/dominant. this checks out.
me asking an LLM “is this what people say / how people say it?” like it’s the human and i’m the robot 🙄
i’m not suicidal and i would never obey the thought but the smell of the shit water being pumped out of the portapotties on this construction site makes me think “i should kill myself”. it’s the natural/proper response to such vile stench. inhuman and offensive to my noble soul.
it’s something like a lake that’s constantly being filled and has to find somewhere to drain and if you don’t consciously dig canals where you want the water to go (healthy outlets) it’s gonna find the path of least resistance (addictive behaviors) and flow there.
i’ve just discovered that a person can be not really ugly at all but also completely lacking in attractiveness.
i’m thinking “addictive personality” means high energy person who isn’t aiming that energy at something productive, whether it’s because he lacks self-control or because he hasn’t found something sufficiently compelling to aim at.
