Incredible news. Thank you so much to all who worked so hard to make this happen. Thank you for listening @RishiSunak @OliverDowden Now we must work together to support the freelancers, ensure inclusion is meaningful, learn from this time. And make great shows for our audiences.

84 years ago the New Deal Federal Theater Project funded Orson Welles' "Voodoo Macbeth" in Harlem's Lafayette Theatre with an all-black cast. Government support during the Depression kept US theatre alive & enabled it to be an agent of social progress. I hope our Govt takes note.
Terrible Rage...
Drowning in bags + envelopes + gratitude + admiration for our incredible, indispensable freelance community. We run the show, yeah. TerribleRage.co.uk
Amazing, brilliant, beautiful freelancers making theatre with their hearts and souls to excite and thrill us. Mercurial magicians. They must be cherished, nurtured, protected and championed. And paid. Properly paid.
As it's #NationalFreelancersDay and it's our 3rd day of existence, wouldn't it be great if we got to 3,000 followers? Whether you're an opera singer, a desk operator, a producer or a prop maker, please share and get your networks to join up with us #freelancersmaketheatrework

As the statue of colonialist Cecil Rhodes came down at the University of Cape Town in 2015, seven students wrote #TheFall.

Catch Jess Tom’s (@touretteshero) film #MeMyMouthAndI on @BBCiPlayer.
Jess asks us to radically reconsider issues of disability, representation and social exclusion as she prepares to perform the role of Mouth in Samuel Beckett's Not I.
#WeShallNotBeRemoved
#WeShallNotBeRemoved is a day of social media action celebrating #DisabilityCulture. The UK's #DisArtScene gave me the confidence to start #Touretteshero a decade ago touretteshero.com our film #MeMyMouthAndI is on iPlayer: tinyurl.com/ycgb26l7 #EndAbleism #AccessIsLove

ALT We Shall Not Be Removed is written in a hand drawn digital font made up of Disability related aids and equipment . The W is made from a tens machine and it's pads. The S is a power chair slinking off into the distance leaving tracks. E's are made from crutches and A, B and H are all walking frames. The D is made from an unfurled collapsable white cane. M is two hosts facing each other. This image is made in celebration of Disability Arts and Culture as part of a day of social media action on 17th June 2020 to ensure that Disabled artists are included in the sector recovery plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
