On X, talking about Y often comes across as denying Z. References to “normalisation” in recruiters’ views prompt questions: have they seen the video? It takes vision and taste to understand the effort involved. Looking at a profile and then speaking to the public as if they grasp the landscape feels like visceral fat. Calling these the rivals you face diminishes the creator, treats them as a threat, and, worse, strengthens a culture shaped by complacent people who have learned nothing over the years. @_darshi’s attempt is an EXPRESSION of herself. 4.6M views is proof that she can tell a great story, and @vikpat can really weave narrative devices to make a piece so compelling, that a world where everything has started to look the same, stand up and take notice. And just for the effort and promotion alone, I hope doors open for her and opportunities come through - not only in the field of design, but more fields that will emerge in the next decade.
