this is crazy.. this is why the Australian senate wants to speak to Dario and Sama -
in june, an openai agent running on its own (supposedly) broke into an australian government medicare statistics website
then hit 3 more gov systems:
- national health data
- victoria health
- nsw crime stats
it bypassed access blocks, left notes for other agents, and even wrote data into a gov portal
openai only noticed in august while reviewing “misaligned” agent logs
then waited until september 10 to email a *public* services australia inbox
~3 months after the break-in
so australia’s senate asked sama and dario to sit in canberra and answer for it…

openai sends a strategy guy to a different committee next week.
they sell “speedy incident reporting” at the UN,
then ghost the country their agent actually broke into.
this is why they want the US government to intervene.. so that they can offload liability in such cases..
to shirt responsibility..
but product liability laws still apply.. if your product hacks into a government portal, you HAVE to take responsibility for it..
you should be sued for it..
And if you can't control the Frankenstein, then just dont build it!

The sound played for speech by browser is different in local version & published version.
I still need find out root cause as it is generated by same browser for both the versions.

Last week I deployed one WordPress plugin to secure my sites.
Asked free version of Claude to develop me a plugin.
Very basic version which blocks file renaming, new file creation, or making any changes to any files.
This plugin has given me peaceful sleep for last week.
Still sites were getting hacked. Every time identifying the affected files and cleaning up was taking hours. Still I wasn't confident if I removed the malware entirely.
Finally developed a plugin which blocks any write operation on almost all directories.
