just go ahead and use the extra time to enjoy the actual books/manga/games/shows in my backlog, that's what i primarily focus on anyways 😭 not to mention it’s not like ALL websites that host fan content are down, it's just one site so you can still share new content elsewhere

This is incorrect information. CSAM/CSEM absolutely only ever refers to REAL children (not lolisho etc) but AO3 absolutely allows written NSFW about REAL children. Which is CSEM, but legal in the US. There's an email response that's been going around but also this thread as proof

If you draw a real child getting raped that'll count as CSAM. Written porn of real children IS CSEM whether the law is too behind with technology to count it or not. Children are not dolls to satisfy the sexual desires of adults, whether it's "words or pixels on a screen"
