So happy to have a voice—and it was such an honour to share my story with these amazing researchers.
"We've had a mass exodus since COVID-19 started. How do we plan for the future of our hospitals?"
Nurse Michelle Johnson (@vividmonkey) just delivered THE most powerful speech of the entire day, sharing her experience on the frontlines of the pandemic.

On the eve of the Quebec mosque shooting anniversary, with calls to act against hate, we have Confederate flags in our nation's capital. It's a gut check for not only Muslim Canadians, but all Canadians.

pretending that grocery stores are empty while ignoring that hospitals are overflowing is some next-level cognitive dissonance

The disaster we find ourselves in is the consequence of incompetence and inaction from our politicians—over decades, but more acutely over the past two years. We should be furious. macleans.ca/society/health/o…

Boosted. I’m now AZ-Pfizer-Moderna. I’m getting vaccinated the way I used to drink in college. Just give me whatever and let me get on the goddamn dance floor.

Why won't hospital CEOs and managers send urgent letters to Premier Ford to immediately #RepealBill124 to address the nursing crisis instead of asking overworked nurses to show up to work on their days off? You have the power. Use it.

Remember who got us through 2021. It wasn't the billionaires or corporations. It was the nurses, PSWs, lab technicians, bus drivers, farm workers, delivery workers, factory workers & many other essential workers at work even today.
Make 2022 about supporting essential workers.

#Nurses are quitting because they are overworked and poorly compensated. The simplist way to retain them is to respect their professional roles, properly compensate them, and improve their working conditions. Anything else is consolotary talk.
Nurses have been on the frontlines of #COVID19 since the very beginning of the pandemic. Many nurses are working themselves to the point of exhaustion, without time to process their own grief as they’ve watching countless patients die in front of them.

Nurses,
Retweet if you’ve recently worked 12 plus hours without a lunch break.

Nurses and other frontline healthcare heroes are being told by @fordnation that they don't deserve a fair contract for wages and benefits. They risk their lives and their health for us. You don't treat heroes this way. My statement. @ontarionurses @RNAO
