yes, let’s do more stuff like this
GPT-Rosalind surfaced a new lead for drug discovery: could restoring cholesterol transport protect neurons from degeneration? DCTN1 is a gene linked to Perry syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. In mouse-brain data, disrupting it increased expression of genes involved in making cholesterol. GPT-Rosalind suggested a possible explanation: cholesterol may not be reaching where neurons need it. That gives scientists a specific mechanism to test and, if confirmed, a direction for developing new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders. With @perturbai_tx and @scrippsresearch, a team of thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents worked in parallel, connecting gene-expression results from millions of mouse brain cells with scientific literature in just 32 minutes. We’re now expanding this collaboration to identify new drug targets. openai.com/index/scaling-ai-…

added trials to weekly and yearly plans in my app. already got a few, but 4 out of 5 users cancelled. anyway, it’s good to see users actually starting trials. after the initial release, i got 0 subscriptions. then, after digging into analytics, i realized my free tier was too generous and people were using the app a lot without paying. i checked out competitors, reduced the free tier, improved the paywall and added trials. the most fascinating part is the whole process. you feel like a researcher. you try things, gather data, form hypotheses, run experiments and repeat. what a time to be alive

Last year I thought Threads was an existential risk to X. When Meta puts its full weight behind something -- by injecting the app into Instagram, it’s DEFCON 5: You have to squeeze out every last drop of growth from all available surfaces to save the app. However, I started to realize that the opposite was happening: It was strengthening X. If you look at any announcement by Zuck, you will see the most rude & toxic comments on the internet. But when he makes those same announcements on X, people are thrilled about how he’s pushing humanity forward. X is a place where people are excited about the future, so it’s no surprise he and his top lieutenants are using it more than their own app. Threads — and Bluesky — have effectively quarantined some of the worst people on the internet. And so I had an epiphany: those apps are X’s anti-abuse systems.

Jensen Huang said something in his speech in the UK that really resonates with me: don’t overthink things. take a step forward. and that step will lead to another step man it’s literally the motto of my life

i swear opus 5.5 feels like AGI my apps started getting traffic but still had zero paying users. so i asked claude to investigate how users behave and why they aren’t subscribing it came back with a detailed report, conversion funnels, key issues, and even competitor comparisons. now we’re implementing changes based on its findings to improve revenue lesson: set up analytics from day one and don’t hesitate to ask claude to dig into your data

i’ve been running Apple Ads for 2 days and got 300+ users but not a single subscription. is that enough data to conclude the app won’t make money or should i keep testing with more users?

tibo says they’ll fix it on dev day. will see…
Interesting turn of history OpenAI’s biggest advantage was affordability and generous limits. Then Anthropic surpassed them on model quality with Fable. Everyone waited for Astra to bring Fable-level intelligence with OpenAI-level limits Instead we got great intelligence that burns through a $200 plan in 1–2 days Now Opus 5.5 comes with higher limits and OpenAI’s answer is a $500 tier I don’t know who will pay more for worse models. We’ll see

how does opus 5.5 build these insane landing page animations in one shot? anthropic, i’m sorry for all the hate i’ve thrown your way. i’m back you cooked

Every new model drop gives me a weird productivity boost and makes me want to work harder for the next few days No idea if it’s dopamine or something else but it works like a charm OpenAI and Anthropic can we just get incremental improvement releases every few days please

I have an unlimited access to Claude models at my 9-5 job. I’ve been using solely fable 5.1 xhigh and it’s been kinda ok According to opus 5.5 benchmarks it’s better than fable even on high reasoning. Will see if the reports are true or misleading (as usually)

Claude Code life hack If you’re struggling to read Claude Fable or Opus 5 output just add ā€œin short and clearā€ Output style config barely works for some reason Claude still tends to write in this weird overcomplicated way Those 4 words make it write like a normal person instead of a Klingon alien trying to write Shakespeare
