క్రింద చిత్రంలో కనిపిస్తున్న మహిళ పేరు నిషా భగత్ . ఈమె జార్ఖండ్‌లోని రాంచీ జిల్లా పిథోరియా ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన ప్రముఖ గిరిజన హక్కుల కార్యకర్త, రాజకీయ నాయకురాలు.
ఆమె ఇటీవలే ఫేస్‌బుక్ లైవ్‌లో తీవ్ర భావోద్వేగంతో మాట్లాడుతూ ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకోవడం జార్ఖండ్ రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా తీవ్ర సంచలనం సృష్టించింది.
గిరిజనుల సంస్కృతి, సాంప్రదాయ 'సర్నా' మత గుర్తింపు, గిరిజన భూముల పరిరక్షణ కోసం ఆమె నిరంతరం పోరాడారు. గిరిజనుల మతమార్పిడులను వ్యతిరేకిస్తూ ఆమె ప్రచారం చేశారు. మతం మారినవారిని ఎస్టీ (ST) జాబితా నుంచి తొలగించాలనే ('డీలిస్టింగ్') డిమాండ్‌కు ఆమె బహిరంగంగా మద్దతు పలికారు.
2024 జార్ఖండ్ అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల్లో జైరామ్ మహతో నేతృత్వంలోని జేఎల్‌కేఎం (JLKM - జార్ఖండ్ లోక్తాంత్రిక్ క్రాంతికారీ మోర్చా) పార్టీ తరపున గుమ్లా నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి పోటీ చేశారు.
ఆమె తన నివాసంలో ఆత్మహత్యకు పాల్పడే ముందు దాదాపు 10–11 నిమిషాల పాటు ఫేస్‌బుక్ లైవ్ స్ట్రీమింగ్ నిర్వహిస్తూ,
ఆ లైవ్‌లో కన్నీరుమున్నీరవుతూ, గిరిజన సమాజం కోసం తాను ఒంటరిగా పోరాడుతున్నానని, భూ మాఫియా మరియు స్థానిక బ్రోకర్లపై పోరాటంలో వ్యవస్థ తనను దారుణంగా విఫలం చేసిందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
తన ఇంటిపై జరిగిన దొంగతనం, తనను వేధిస్తున్న వ్యక్తులపై ఫిర్యాదు చేసినా పోలీసులు ఎలాంటి చర్యలు తీసుకోలేదని ఆరోపించారు. ఆత్మహత్యకు కొన్ని గంటల ముందు సోషల్ మీడియాలో "నా మరణానికి జార్ఖండ్ పోలీసులే బాధ్యులు" అని పోస్ట్ పెట్టారు.
సోషల్ మీడియాలో తనపై జరుగుతున్న అసభ్యకరమైన ట్రోలింగ్, తనను "దళారీ"గా ముద్రవేయడం తనను తీవ్ర మనస్తాపానికి గురిచేశాయని చెప్పారు. ఎవరూ తనకు అండగా నిలవలేదని వాపోయారు.
ఫేస్‌బుక్ లైవ్ నడుస్తున్న సమయంలోనే పిథోరియా పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్‌కు ఫోన్ చేసి, తాను లైవ్‌లో ఉన్నానని, జీవితాన్ని ముగిస్తున్నానని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఈ వీడియో వైరల్ కావడంతో పోలీసులు అక్కడికి చేరుకుని ఆమెను రాంచీలోని రిమ్స్ (RIMS) ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించగా, అప్పటికే ఆమె మరణించినట్లు వైద్యులు ధ్రువీకరించారు.
నిషా భగత్ ఆత్మహత్య గిరిజన సమాజంలో తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహానికి దారితీసింది. భూ మాఫియా ఆగడాలు, పోలీసుల నిర్లక్ష్యంపై నిష్పక్షపాత విచారణ జరిపించాలని బీజేపీ తదితర పార్టీలు ప్రస్తుత ప్రభుత్వంపై తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో విమర్శలు గుప్పించాయి.
పోలీసులు ఈ ఘటనపై కేసు నమోదు చేసి, ఆమె లైవ్ వీడియో ఆధారంగా దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.
ప్రతిపక్షాల దురదృష్టం కొద్దీ ఇది ప్రతిపక్షాలు పాలిస్తున్న ఝార్ఖండ్ లో జరిగింది. అదే బీజేపీ పాలిత రాష్ట్రంలో జరిగి ఉంటే ఈ సరికి ఇది అంతర్జాతీయ వార్త అయి ఉండేది, ఢిల్లీలో భారీ నిరసనలు మొదలయ్యేవి, అమెరికాలో, బ్రిటన్ లో లెఫ్ట్ వారు ఇస్లామిస్ట్ లు కలసి సదస్సులు పెట్టి వుండేవారు.😢

Valmiki never wrote "harem pet" or "furniture cover." Just as he never said Sita calls Rama a “misogynist pig.”
Here's what the text says.
On the living deer, Aranya Kanda 3.43.16:
अन्तःपुरविभूषार्थो मृग एष भविष्यति
antaḥpura-vibhūṣārtho mṛga eṣa bhaviṣyati
"This deer will be an ornament of the inner palace." Not “harem.” Sita is talking about after the exile, when they're back in Ayodhya. The word is vibhūṣā, ornament. It's a marvel to bring home to Bharata and the queen mothers. It isn't a "pet," and it isn't a harem plaything. We also know that Rama never took another wife, let alone kept a harem.
On the slain deer, 3.43.19:
शष्पबृस्यां विनीतायामिच्छाम्यहमुपासितुम्
śaṣpa-bṛsyāṃ vinītāyām icchāmy aham upāsitum
"I wish to sit on its golden skin, spread over a seat of tender grass." A bṛsī is an ascetic's grass seat. She's a forest-dweller in exile, picturing herself sitting beside Rama. That isn't upholstery or a "furniture cover." Rama even pictures the same scene himself a few verses later (3.43.34).
So "harem pet" and "furniture cover" aren't translations. Each one picks the most lurid or trivial reading available so that Sita comes off as decadent and vain. The text doesn't support either.
We've seen this before. In 2018 Truschke "loosely translated" Sita at the agnipariksha as calling Rama a "misogynist pig." Robert Goldman, the translator she cited, disowned it.
She starts from a Sanskrit word, takes the most loaded English you can find, and presents it as scholarship. That's academic malpractice.

It is important to place on record an often-overlooked aspect of the tragic anti-Sikh violence that followed the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984.
According to the views attributed to the distinguished writer and journalist Khushwant Singh, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) stood firmly against the prevailing atmosphere of hatred and violence, while elements of the then-ruling Congress Party were actively involved in instigating and organising attacks against innocent Sikhs.
He argued that the conduct of these organisations during one of India's darkest chapters challenged the popular portrayal of the RSS as communal and raised serious questions about the Congress Party's claims to secularism.
Singh also highlighted the efforts of RSS volunteers who travelled through villages in Punjab and Haryana, appealing to communities to remember their shared heritage, preserve communal harmony, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood.
His central message was unequivocal: those who stood against communal hatred and worked to restore peace and fraternity deserved recognition, appreciation, and encouragement, irrespective of political affiliations.

Mr. Kannan, with all due respect, I don’t think your tweet fully captures the reality of professional badminton.
A first-round exit at Wimbledon earns £80,000. Winning the China Open, one of badminton’s richest tournaments, earns $140,000. Lose in the first round? Just $2,000.
Yet our expenses are largely similar. Travel, coaches, physios, trainers and support teams. I’ve had long conversations with Rohan Bopanna about this very disparity.
I agree that established athletes should strive to be financially independent. I’ve been fortunate to have wonderful sponsors, but not everyone has that privilege. That’s also why organisations like @OGQ_India are so important.
More importantly, if you read Mihir’s article in full, you’ll see that younger players had to compete without coaches, while several withdrew from tournaments.
I can find ways to fund my tour. But what about the 18-year-old chasing her dreams, hoping to become the next Sindhu or Lakshya?
And I must acknowledge the tremendous support the Government of India and @Media_SAI have extended to athletes like us over the years. Their contribution to Indian sport cannot be understated.
Accountability is absolutely necessary. But supporting athletes isn’t bleeding the system. It’s investing in India’s sporting future. And we shouldn’t lose sight of that.
How long will our elite athletes, who are professionals, bleed the system.
I mean, can not a PV Sindhu or Lakshya Sen fund own tours.
Look at a sport like tennis, players get nothing.

He is Mr John Daniel of Laymen’s Evangelical Fellowship of India (LEFI), an Indian-origin US citizen who recently lost his OCI status.
LRPF pursued this matter through sustained complaints and persistent follow-up with the Government of India, while also communicating with Indian consular offices in the United States. Our continued efforts ultimately culminated in the cancellation of John Daniel’s OCI status by the Government of India.
BREAKING: After years of our continuous follow-up and communication with the MHA Foreigners Division, Bureau of Immigration and Indian consular offices in the US, the Government of India cancelled the OCI registration of John Daniel of Laymen's Evangelical Fellowship India over Christian missionary activities in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Madras High Court has upheld the cancellation, finding that he had engaged in missionary preaching without the required permission.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
Laymen’s Evangelical Fellowship India (LEFI), registered in Nungambakkam, Chennai, is associated with John Daniel, an Indian-born American citizen engaged in religious and missionary activities in India on behalf of the organisation while holding OCI status. LEFI’s presence is particularly notable in Andhra Pradesh’s coastal districts of Prakasam, Guntur and Nellore, and its wider network of churches across India warrants systematic documentation and scrutiny of compliance with applicable laws.
CASE OF STUARTPURAM VILLAGE, ANDHRA PRADESH?
Stuartpuram was historically associated with communities branded as “criminal tribes” under the British colonial Criminal Tribes Act of 1871. This stigma reflected colonial policies of collective suspicion and social control, not any inherent criminality of the communities concerned. From the mid-20th century, Christian organisations, including LEFI undertook outreach activities in the region involving religious conversions in the guise of moral education and employment initiatives.
