spent some time working on a smaller tab editor the custom asset type at first i couldn't understand that the blueprint in the level is not the one in content browser, maybe a child. but that makes editing much easier, i dont need to edit the original file, just the instance #UE5

still on that day night cycle thingy. been taking care destroy stuff properly. next i plan to finished the animatable properties, and a small event hooking so that the rest of the world act accordingly. also i've been learning a lot about runtime and editor code logic separation.

just found out today in unreal before, i used to alt then drag to duplicate an actor, but you can also drag first then alt any time for instant copy, way faster.

it all came to one big beautiful circle the timeline now pass its data to the editor. it calls the editor function whether i'm editing the property directly or form the slate widget, a lot of delegates running back and forward. hopefully not running into each other #ue5
my slate custom timeline is mostly complete. with transactions, delete and duplicate actions it barely crash because of a missing index, but it works now i just need to build a proper property system and lerp between keyframes to drive the day night cycle #ue5
