A great example of why the 140 character limit should be brought back
This is how the movie will play out if Manchester United hire Eddie Howe: -He will struggle to establish a clear tactical identity from the beginning. -The football will be predictable. -The pressing will be inconsistent. -The team will struggle against low blocks. -We will rely heavily on individual brilliance to win games. -Our build-up play will become easy to read. -The defensive structure will remain questionable. -The players will struggle to understand exactly what the team is trying to achieve. -We will win some games, but the performances will fail to convince. -The fans will begin questioning why INEOS appointed him. -We will finish outside the top four. -We will get knocked out of the FA Cup before the latter stages. -The media will start asking whether Howe is really the man to take Manchester United forward. During the transfer window: -He will demand players to suit his preferred style. -INEOS will spend heavily trying to rebuild the squad around his ideas. -Some players will be deemed unsuitable for his system. -We will sell players who could have been useful under a different tactical approach. -New signings will take time to adapt. -The club will spend another transfer window trying to fix problems created by the previous one. -Questions will emerge about whether the recruitment strategy and managerial vision are aligned. When the next season starts: -We will expect improvement, but the same tactical problems will persist. -Opponents will exploit the weaknesses in our pressing and defensive structure. -The team will struggle to control matches against elite opposition. -We will drop points against teams we should be beating. -Our away form will become a major concern. -The players will lose confidence in the system. -The fans will become increasingly frustrated. -The media will question whether Howe has reached his ceiling. -INEOS will face criticism for appointing another manager without a convincing long-term plan. -Pressure will intensify after a poor run of results. -The board will begin considering alternatives. -Results will fail to improve sufficiently. -Eddie Howe will eventually be sacked. And we will start all over again. This is why Eddie Howe is not the ideal man for Manchester United if we want long-term success.

Merlin Röhl, who starts for Everton against Chelsea, uses a metronome to strengthen his eye movement. “It goes 100 beats per minute, and your eyes switch side to side. It's training a muscle. If you have fast eyes, you can track the ball faster and then switch faster to the player where you want to play the ball.” Röhl also has a stick with numbers on which he uses to strengthen his near and far focus. Visionary. #EFC
