Full-circle moment 💛 Yesterday, founder Steve Roese visited @IrvingBibleCh — the church that helped launch Water is Basic and still walks with us today as we pursue Vision 2030: clean water for all 10 states by 2030. Thank you for helping finish what you helped start. 💧

Asunta’s son saw his mother lead—and it reshaped his future. This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for women like Asunta who are changing their communities one repair, one child, one possibility at a time. We’re thankful for the generous WiB community who believe in this work! 💛

In Alok Payam, one of our pump mechanics—Asunta—was standing with our team when her teenage son asked, “Mummy… how did you bring these important people to our house?” Then he said something that stunned her: “I want to go to school.”

Just like this team moves the ball forward, women-led repair leaders are restoring wells and bringing clean water back to communities. This Giving Tuesday, we’re rallying our team — you — to raise $27,500 to train 10 new women well-repair leaders. All gifts matched on 12/2!

Maria’s story shows why Vision 2030 matters. In 2023, a crushed hand nearly ended her work as a well mechanic. Thanks to urgent care in Juba, she recovered — and by the end of 2024, she’d repaired 40 wells, restoring clean water across Warrap.
