So sad to hear of the death of Sir Andrew Davis. Many of my most treasured musical experiences were under his baton, and his versatility, humour and sparkle, and the way his love of the music shone through every note, will always be an inspiration. RIP el Presidente x

Hi @Microsoft - for two months or so every time I opened the Office app (or a document within the app) I had to dismiss a message telling me "the app is changing". Now it's changed I have a similar message telling me "the app has changed". How much longer will this go on? 😳
Off to Enfield to see @EnfieldChOrch and @MartinSmithVln, looking forward to hearing my orchestration of Mel Bonis' haunting Cantique de Jean Racine brought to life for the first time #MelBonis #womencomposers

It's a tough job but someone has to sing and conduct some of the most fun pieces ever written 😀

Me: what time does my train leave?
Journey Planner: well... it'll take you 5 mins to walk from London Bridge Station to London Bridge Station so you need to start walking in 10 mins!
Me: I'm already there! OK, tell me what time the *earlier* train leaves...

It's always poor Wensleydale they pick on. OK, occasionally White Stilton, but that's basically the same thing 😆

First live performance last night in almost exactly two years. 10 weeks ago we were a group of singers used to singing along to their computer screens; last night we were a *choir*, listening, watching, reacting, reaching out to a real audience. 1/4
And many, many thanks to @AnitaWatsonSop for her solos - joyous, heart-rending, serene, and flirtatious piece by piece. And a delight to work with - hope it's the first time of many! 3/4
Every time I get on a long distance train these days, the reservation system isn'tworking - @EastMidRailway you're today's culprit for the 15.02 London-Sheffield. Why's it so difficult?
Anticipation mounting for first live rehearsal since March 2020, and first #livestream ever, tonight with @EnfieldChoral
I'm putting on a virtual Faure Requiem with @EnfieldChoral beginning next week. Other singers welcome for a small fee which goes directly to supporting freelance musicians taking part in the project. Please retweet - we're hoping for 30 sign-ups! see enfieldchoralsociety.org.uk/…
