Manchester City never fixed any match. Manchester City players never doped. They just bought the same weapons as four other clubs and then used them better,For over a decade they simply outplayed everyone on the same pitch. Cry harder.

What a great way to answer all of the vitriol and frankly ridiculous statements that the red cartel has made recently. Tremendous fight & passion for the badge along with 3 great goals. Bring on PSG #mcfc

City didn’t match fix City didn’t performance enhance They bought the same tools as 4 other clubs to go head to head. Only issue here is city out performed them all on a level playing field for over a decade. Chin up

If Man City’s success is solely due to illicit cash (allegedly), please can someone explain how Man United have outspent all other clubs and yet their only hope for joy is a banner mocking their noisy neighbours?

We’ve truly reached a point in football where, under our Premier League regulators, it is acceptable to be: ✅£1.15bn in debt ✅Playing in a decaying stadium after years of chronic under investment ✅Borrowing a further £90m in recent months - but that's not unfair investment ✅Spending heavily while building turgid football teams But a club with ✅No debt, ✅Owners who have invested hundreds of millions in developing a stadium and regenerating East Manchester ✅Teams that have thrilled football fans around the world is somehow the bad one....? This is the state of the UK today. But it’s all about "profit and sustainability", right? Sad times.

🔵 One rebuilds the City of Manchester and transforms a football club into one of the giants of world football: 🔴 Another plunges their football club into ONE BILLION pounds of debt: ◼️ Don't ever tell me there is no anti-City bias when it comes to accountabilty: 👀 #ManCity

Po-Tay-To / Po-Tah-To. Henry Winter Edition.
Enzo Fernandez is "clearly attempting to play" the ball when in an offside position. It clearly impacts on Lisandro Martinez, who's drawn away from Erling Haaland because Fernandez is diving for the cross. Poor use of VAR. Manchester United will have a grievance over that... ...but so will Manchester City over Bruno Fernandes not seeing red, or even yellow, in the Phil Foden incident. Foden deserved to go, no argument, straight red for violent conduct but Fernandes deserved some sanction. Fernandes is PFA POTY and FWA FOTY and part of the criteria for the vote is sporting attitude. City deserved the win - their intelligence, work-rate, ball retention and defiance all exceptional. Guehi and Anderson especially immense. City didn't look to have only 10. That's credit to them - and an indictment of United. Michael Carrick will get questioned - and he could have brought on Benjamin Sesko earlier - but the real questions should be for the United board. They strengthened the attack last summer, midfield this summer and intend to strengthen the defence next summer. Why wait? United's defence needed work last year, let alone wait for next year. Ineos and United's board have let Carrick down. United have smartened up the front of the house, done up the hallway, but left the back-door open. Diogo Dalot is hardly Gary Neville level. Nor is Noussair Mazraoui. Patrick Dorgu is a risk defensively. United should long ago have targeted a successor to Luke Shaw (currently injured) and brought one in rather than delay. Praying Shaw stays fit is not a practicable policy. Yes he played 38 PL last season. But, all comps, Shaw has missed 103 games in three seasons (before this). It's frustrating; because Shaw's elite when fit. As for centre-backs, Harry Maguire and Martinez arrived before Ineos. And they are starting for United. Ayden Heaven will doubtless mature into a very good centre-back one day. Carrick may not be in post by then. He could pay the price because the balance of recruitment was wrong. The Andrey Santos money (£48m; nice work Chelsea) should have been used to strengthen part of the defence. But nothing should take away from City's deserved win. #MUNMCI

What a result that was a dodgy red red & a dodgy goal but nothing can take away from the stunning fight by the 10 men of #mcfc we deserved the 3 points They looked like they couldnt score in a brothel so despite not being use to the new managers formation we have a 100% record.

Fernandes should be off as well for his second kick which was directly at Foden and that’s what Foden responded to. BOth should be off!

Buy British. Eat what’s grown here. That Kenyan bean or Peruvian asparagus didn’t just travel thousands of miles - it often flew. Meanwhile a British apple, carrot or strawberry can go from field to shop in days, picked ripe instead of green so it survives a long haul. Better flavour. Better nutrition. Less waste. We import around 80% of our fruit and nearly half our veg. That’s not choice - it’s vulnerability. One heatwave, drought or shipping snarl overseas and shelves empty. Growing more here means jobs in our countryside, money staying in the UK, and a food system that isn’t at the mercy of someone else’s weather. Local and seasonal isn’t nostalgia. It’s fresher food, shorter supply chains, and farmers who can actually plan a future. Supermarkets will keep stacking cheap imports if we keep buying them. Look at the label. Choose British when it’s in season. That’s how you vote with your trolley. 🇬🇧

It’s absurd that Britain prioritises foreign food over what we can (and do) grow on our own soil. Britain has some of the best farmland in Europe. We produce excellent wheat, potatoes, dairy, beef, lamb, apples, berries, brassicas and more. Our climate and soil are perfectly suited to a huge range of high-quality produce. Yet year after year, supermarket shelves and government trade policy tilt toward imports — often at the direct expense of British farmers. Cheap Spanish tomatoes, Dutch peppers, Polish chicken, New Zealand lamb and out-of-season fruit flown halfway around the world routinely undercut local growers. Why? Lower production costs abroad, weaker environmental and animal-welfare standards in some cases, and a retail system that chases the lowest unit price above everything else. The result: British producers face razor-thin margins, rising energy and labour costs, and the constant threat of being replaced by imports that would never meet the same rules if grown here. This is not free trade in any meaningful sense. It’s a one-way preference for distance over quality, seasonality and national resilience. Food security is treated as an afterthought until a supply shock hits. Carbon footprints from long-haul transport are waved away while British growers are lectured about sustainability. And rural communities that keep the countryside working are told to compete with subsidized or lower-standard overseas production while absorbing every new regulation. Supporting what is grown here does not mean autarky or higher prices for everything. It means fair competition: applying the same standards to imports that we demand of our own farmers, prioritising seasonal British produce in public procurement and retail, and recognising that a country that cannot feed itself is strategically weak. Preferring the imported option simply because it is slightly cheaper on the day is short-sighted policy dressed up as consumer choice.
