Join Rising Voices on June 26th from 5pm-8:45pm at the Freer House in Detroit for our Asian American Queer Artist Celebration. They will discuss the intersection of Queer and Asian American identity and how art might be a space of healing and/or realizing these identities.
Join Rising Voices on June 26th from 5pm-8:45pm at the Freer House in Detroit for our Asian American Queer Artist Celebration. They will discuss the intersection of Queer and Asian American identity and how art might be a space of healing and/or realizing these identities. This is a safe space, all we ask if that you come as you are! Admission is FREE and open to the public. Doors will open at 4:45pm. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided from JP Makes & Bakes and music by Zosette & the Groove. Please reach out to them if any language or disability assistance will be needed and if you'd like to volunteer.

This slide offers strategies to set boundaries to achieve balance in your life. For example, a person who values their well-being will say "no" when needed so they can stay true to themselves despite external pressure. Other strategies including making space for personal time, trying to test yourself by pursuing challenges and taking action, and being real with myself and others.
