Gloom has some surprisingly strange lore in Pokémon. The awful smell it’s known for comes from the nectar in its mouth. According to the Pokédex, the stench is so powerful it can make people faint from over a mile away. But somehow, not everyone hates it. Some people become strangely attached to the smell and even find it pleasant. Equal parts disgusting and lovable, Gloom might be one of the weirdest Pokémon ever created.
