What happened to Jason Arday shows that, for some people, Black achievement will always be suspect

The media frenzy around Jason Arday, who died on Friday, betrays a dark obsession with clicks, views and the culture wars

Kanya King CBE was told Black music had no market. She founded MOBO. 30 years later, Black music is 80% of Britain’s recorded music revenue. £24.5 billion. She was told she was unrealistic. She built a 30-year cultural revolution. She didn’t argue. She just built. My tribute👇🏾
