More people (projects) looks like they want to move forward with security and a trusted infrastructure.

Governments and businesses are adopting decentralized identity more than we think to tackle privacy, trust, and security challenges across industries.
The Web of Trust Decentralized Identity Map is tracking this rapid growth. It’s clear: some sectors are leading the way, while others are still catching up.
But there are challenges ahead:
➡️ How do we make systems talk to each other (interoperability)?
➡️ Can we get clear, global regulations in place?
➡️ How do we bring more industries on board beyond just finance and healthcare?
The big question: Will businesses take the lead in decentralized identity, or will they wait for regulations to catch up? 🤔

🔴 Canada
Another surprise.
Canada ranks 2nd in the number of decentralized ID projects globally (per the @WebofTrustMap). British Columbia’s BC Wallet (@govtbc) is well-connected, but development has been slow and limited to pilots.
What about Ontario’s Digital ID (@ONHgAov)?

🔴 Germany
Wait, what??
Germany supports over 20 digital ID projects across agencies like @SPRIND and @BMWE_. In the @WebofTrustMap, it’s one of the top funders of decentralized ID.
So why the red zone? Adoption of their own Digital ID at the country level remains low.
