In the last year, we've seen Minnesota take major steps to expand our democracy.
While other states are moving backward, we're showing the country there's another way: forward, toward a multiracial democracy that lives up to our country's promise.

Voting starts today in Minnesota! You have options. You can vote early in person or you can vote early by mail. Whatever you choose, be a voter.
Our elections are run by our neighbors, not strangers. They are the people we see at church, the playground, and doing school pickups.
But we’re seeing a tired playbook from election deniers who try to sow doubt in our elections. Why? Because they know when we come together, we can fight back against corporations and the wealthy few working to make life harder for all of us.
In response to a federal judge tossing out a DOJ lawsuit trying to access Minnesota’s voter rolls this week, We Choose Us released the following statement.

As we await the results in Minnesota’s primary election, I want to thank the thousands of poll workers and election administrators across the state who have worked so hard to deliver an election that’s fair, honest, accurate, and secure.

America is 250 years old. The promise of our democracy is still being written.
No matter what we look like, where we come from, or how much money we have, we deserve the freedom to vote and have our votes counted. That's why we organize. Our democracy belongs to all of us.

Just in time for midterms, the Supreme Court let an anti-voter decision stand in the 8th Circuit. Voters there who need help to cast their ballots can no longer sue if they don’t get it. n.pr/4eCYSOc

Across Minnesota, people are coming together right now—building relationships, getting organized, and making sure our communities are ready for whatever comes our way this election season.
We're growing teams, training leaders, and building the kind of people power that can defend our elections and our communities. Because when we choose each other, we're ready for what's ahead. wechooseusmn.com/join-our-mo…
Voters across the country agree: money in politics is a serious problem, and they want leaders to take action.
We need policies that reduce the influence of big money, strengthen transparency, and ensure our democracy is accountable to the people—not the highest bidder.
Our new poll finds that 79% of voters want a constitutional amendment that restores limits on money in elections. More results and what’s behind them: bit.ly/4dPG5yA

Minnesota ranks #1 in America in quality of life! Wonderful, but not surprising. We are blessed. 👏💥🏅
A major new study published today by a panel of Democrats and Republicans ranks states by quality of life. The states at the top aren't the richest, and they don't have the highest tax rates -- although they do seem to do an unusually good job executing policy and sharing the wealth that they create. Often they have opposition parties strong enough to keep ruling parties nervous and effective.
To see which state ranks No. 1 and how your state ranks (slight tease!), here's a gift link: nytimes.com/2026/06/06/opini…
Democracy should belong to all of us.
Not billionaires. Not corporations. Not political insiders.
All of us.
No matter our age, race, or income we all have a part to play in our democracy.
Every right we have exists because ordinary people organized for it, protected it, and refused to let powerful people dictate their rights.
Together, we are more powerful than fear and division.
The MN Voting Rights Act protects us against voter suppression, intimidation, and discriminatory voting maps designed to silence communities of color.
Most importantly, these protections live in state law and state courts, even as the federal Voting Rights Act is dismantled.
The Supreme Court has spent years dismantling the VRA piece by piece.
After eliminating the last major federal protections against racially discriminatory voting maps, states are already moving to redraw districts and silence communities of color.
