Why is it like that and not like this. Knock on the sky and listen to the sound. Also Wi-Fi (CWNE #394) and AWS ... Besides that, it's all in the reflexes.

My first question to former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal (@paraga): “What did you get done this week?”
NEW: I sat down w/ former Twitter CEO & CTO Parag Agrawal (@paraga) Now Founder & CEO of $2B Parallel Web Systems (@p0). Parag says we're underestimating AI agents by 5,000–10,000x, transforming the internet's economics entirely. Forget the startup benchmark of 3x, 3x, 2x, 2x. Parag benchmarks this new agentic era against the growth of inference, roughly 10x a year, & says every estimate he’s made in this market has come in too low. Parallel has raised $230M in total funding from funds like @IndexVentures, Kleiner Perkins & Khosla Ventures, building AI-native search infrastructure for customers like: Harvey, Lovable, Granola, Replit, LangChain, Profound, Modal, Notion & Browserbase. Today, agent web usage is estimated at just 10–20% of human usage. Parag's own agents already run several thousand searches a day, & he believes we're still in the earliest stages of this transition. The infrastructure implications are massive. Parag predicts that for every 10 GPUs used in model inference, another 1–2 will be required for web search alone. The economic implications are equally significant. Traditional advertising, subscriptions & affiliate models depend on human attention and browsing behavior. As agents become the primary consumers of information, these models will need to be rebuilt, including how publishers get compensated when agents access their content. We also covered: › Why the web is shifting from reactive to proactive AI agents › Sourcing GPUs & scaling search infrastructure › Voice agents, latency & token efficiency › Agent identity, bot detection & cybersecurity › Scaling Parallel from 30 to 120 employees this year We also spent time on Parag's 11 years at Twitter, where he went from engineer to CTO to CEO. We discussed the lessons from leading one of the world's most influential social platforms. 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 (00:00) Parag Agrawal, Founder & CEO at Parallel (01:03) What is Parallel AI? (05:28) Bots took over the web & it’s only the start (07:22) Will people stick with AI agents? (11:55) Why models will get bigger, smarter & cheaper (14:47) Where AI startups actually find GPUs (19:43) Is 10x a year the new normal? (21:59) Searching the web faster than you can blink (26:02) AI that knows what you need before you do (26:57) Agents are breaking the web’s business model (31:08) Good bots vs bad bots (33:45) Agents & the cyber arms race (37:19) The web’s biggest problem with agents (42:04) Why great models still give bad answers (45:13) Parallel built a website for robots? (47:56) Proactive agents & the future of search (51:30) The person who drives Parag’s ambition (55:50) Why feeling insecure is a superpower

Got my iPhone Duo last night and photos and videos don't do it justice ✈️ Very few pieces of tech surprise me anymore but this one did. I spend a lot of my life in airplane seats, and this is the first phone that feels like it was built for that. Open it on the tray table and it's a tiny laptop. Close it and it's back in my pocket. First impressions: - It's impossibly thin - The hinge snap is so satisfying - Two apps side by side actually feels usable - Opened, it's the right size for a tray table This next flight is the real test. I'm planning to get a full day of work commuting from seat 9-something. I'll report back. (It’s hecka slippery that’s why I’m holding it. The camera bump doesn’t help either.)

Person who is reverse engineering his tv gets banned from OpenAI You aren't allowed to stop your tv from spying on your family. You have to ask for permission Or, maybe, maybe we accelerate
banned for reverse engineering work? that’s wild oh well, -$500, and a bunch of banked resets) but gained motivation to get 3 more machines and finish my cluster. i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering which tripped daybreak.

Unpopular opinion: JerryRigEverything-style durability tests are mostly pointless. Nobody spends $2,000 on an iPhone Duo to scratch the display with blades or deliberately bend the device until it breaks. Show me how it handles everyday drops and years of use. THAT’S the durability test that matters.
the iPhone Duo has failed the latest JerryRigEverything durability test 😭

One of the biggest drawbacks to using the Duo unfolded on a flight is that EVERYONE can see your screen. It’s amazingly legible and viewable not only for you but for everyone. The one cool thing I saw another manufacturer do is the built-in Privacy Screen.

I miss software where you downloaded a program, double-clicked the installer, and that was the end of it. No account. No workspace. No onboarding questionnaire. No monthly subscription. Just an application that did whatever you downloaded it to do.

I'm going to let GrokBot invest the funds in my 𝕏 Money account. What instructions should I give it? I'll report back on the progress to see how smart @bot really is.

With all this bullshit about your TV being a spy. Once again I think that @PalmerLuckey needs to make a really great TV. Which has a few HDMI / GPMI ports and the software is all open. Allow people to design their own interface or whatever.

❗️ India is set to require WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal to work only while the registered SIM is active in the phone. The telecom ministry says apps that run without the SIM let scammers abroad misuse Indian numbers.

You need a Remote KVM if you run a home AI cluster. There are several good ones. I’m currently using the Sipeed NanoKVM Go. Yes, you can do everything from SSH, until your initrd is corrupted and you can’t boot. These things not only allow bios access but can also host rescue disks. The @SipeedLab NanoKVM Go helped me recover my all but bricked DGX Spark this morning. With Tailscale connectivity, you can reach your devices from anywhere in the world. One day, one of these WILL save your tail.
